St Just 1 St Day 5

Well arrived in the uncertainty of game on or off not to do with St Just not sure the Ref knew what to do to be honest then made the decision it’s game on .

Decent match in pouring rain for 60 mins of it at various times throughout the game .

St Day had so many chances to finish this game off in the first half but time after time difficult conditions played havoc with the final ball or the one slightly before .

However by half time they were 0-2 up but I knew the hard half was to come .

Rightly so St Just came out in the second half with a hard fought battling performance & for 15 mins I think they almost edged it as the better team at times .

Not sure about the times but with probably 20 mins or so to go a St Just player hit a worldie of a strike & it was game on. 1-2

To be fair to St Day they struck back pretty quickly & this deflated St Just 1-3

Then it was one way traffic for the last 15 mins where St Day added two more for a final score of 1-5 .

A deserved win but a battling St Just performance & no surprise up until today they were unbeaten at home .

Bumped into Rodney down there who naturally thought the conditions were perfect 🤣😊
