cornishteddyboy
Truro City Reserves 6-0 Porthleven Reserves Crowd about 65 including me as I didn't want to watch Eastenders. Fairly tight until 2-0 then Port faded. 5 of the goals from close range with their players getting in front of the defenders.

kevin richards
Well done to Truro, last half hour, different class. But until then we played really well. Fitness of those players was unbelievable. Considering the amount of games they've been involved in this weekend, Sam Matthews must run on duracell batteries ! Truro were able to rest a couple of players, including Harry & we thought we might just have a chance however, in came Rusty Rowson, Matt Salmon, Ross Pope, Chris Reski & then when we were knackered, they brought on Jake Ash, how unfair is that ! . To Truro, good luck with what you are trying to acheive, you are simply too good for this league & to Hayden, now i am glad we dont have to play you any more ! Top Man ! :clapper:
cornishteddyboy
Watching the game as neutral I noticed that close in 1-on-1 Truro were the more skillful winning the challenges but when Port played long ball they matched Truro and even put them under pressure. Unfortunately in the 1st half Port's finishing was weak.. 1st half all Truro's attacks came down their right through Matt Salmon but they opened up in the 2nd half, got down both wings to cross. Attackers got in front of the defenders for quite easy tap-ins or headers. 1st half Trruo were weak down their left.
EddieD
Kev, ever the gent in defeat! Could not agree more with what you said about Truro. There always seems to be someone bigger and better round the corner! Still got another game .... lesson... against them Tues! Although it is a nightmare playing against them, having a class team within the league shows everyone else how the game should be played, a better lesson than just watching from the sidelines.... you end up watching them play around you!! Total respect for what they are doing/ want to do. :clapper:
