Rjw87
St Merryn 1-1 St Columb Major FT The local St Merryn ref was definitely man of the match today, St Columb scored a few perfect good goals, but some how he blew for a foul on all of them. Shame really as St Columb were deserved winners and clearly the better team. cornish leg end
Xavier1
Gerrans & st mawes united 1 lostwithiel 4 fantastic effort from the boys today Tom mileham hat trick billy Davies with a penalty save and an assist of all things and Brad Lang with a cross/shot from the half way line that fooled everybody. Good battling performance against a physical and direct gsm side who in spells had us on the back foot. Well reffed this afternoon by Alan howells gsm again for the boys next week at home in the junior cup should be another cracker of an encounter Billy Davies

Billy Davies
Fair assessment XB1. I always enjoy our battles with GSM over the years and yesterday was a typical full blooded Duchy encounter. GSM had most of the possession and most of the chances but a depleted Losty side stuck together, rode our luck and kept battling to the end. Tom Mileham playing up front on his own scored a fantastic hat-trick and we ended up 4-1 winners. Great victory for us but both sides, both managers and the ever consistent Alan Howells in the middle deserved credit for getting on with the game and battling to the end of a proper game with no ego's on show just a bunch of blokes enjoying their football. It was great to have a chance to yap with Andy after some of the GSM players in the pub. See you all next week for round 2. Xavier1
chesterfield
It’s a credit to Aks training that a 40year old center half managed to be offside twice! Xavier1 and Billy Davies 1

rwilliams
Boscastle Reserves 5 - Week St Mary 1 Line-up - M Seldon, D Hambley, T Lyle, C Crook, A Tapley, B Jarram, R Nute, R Williams, J Gibson, A Williams, M Parsons. Subs - M Barrett, C Bosley and M Heard. Goalscorers - J Gibson, M Parsons (2) A Williams and an OG. The away scorer was J Barriball (p) Another good win for Boscastle continuing the good start to the season. First goal came from a WSM corner with the ball being cleared to A Williams on the left side, turned his man inside his own half and carried the ball all the way down the wing before pulling the ball back to the onrushing Gibson who finished well. Second goal came from a corner on the right side where Lyle met the ball and the ball bounced around off a couple WSM and ended up in the back of the net. A third came shortly after with a neat turn in the midfield and a clipped ball over the top to Parsons who raced away and tucked the ball in. Just before half time WSM were awarded a penalty with the defender pulling the shirt of the away team skipper. Neatly taken pen from Barriball and the first half ended 3-1. Second half started with WSM putting the pressure on to get back into the game but Boscastle managed to hit on the break with another M Parsons goal driven well inside the near post. Last goal came from an A Williams free kick taken from well over 40 yards. A cross that caught the away keeper out. MOTM - Tim Lyle. Good game and well refereed. All the best to WSM for the rest of the season.

You could have reffed this match, or a different one, as there is a huge deficit of qualified Referees in Cornwall. Please contact CCFA at Callywith Gate and put yourself on the next course at your earliest convenience. May I also refer you to the post by Zebedee at the end of August. Don’t think he will be putting himself forward for this. Struggles to run the line 🤣🤣🤣
