Stoke Gabriel 1v0 St Blazey.

First visit to Stoke Gabriel. Fantastic club house. Very impressive. Only negative, and the same can be said about Tavistock, is that both clubs could have built into their impressive buildings a really nice stand. As for the pitch today, it was a shocker. More of a field to be fair. The football was shocking to watch. The ball wouldnt roll, players falling over. One goal was enough as St Blazey couldnt work out that playing slow paced football on a crap pitch was never going to

work. So just as were looking up the table we get hit with that result. Not good going into next weeks FA vase match.

Anyone with a match report,, scorers please for Illogan v helston

Helston probably started the brighter but gradually Illogan got into the game and went ahead through Dan Richards, heading home after 21 minutes. That's how it stayed until after the break when the home increased their lead with Tom Smith heading home a near post Tim Nixon corner.

With Helston forcing Illogan back, they were always going to be suspect to the counter-attack and not too long after Illogan's Luke Johnson hitting the post from a quick break, the winger made sure it was going to be a win for the newcomers when he smashed a shot in from about 12 yards with around five minutes left on the clock.

All in all, a deserved win for Illogan who now move to within a point of leaders Helston.

A good watchable game at Oxland Park, played in front of a good sized crowd.

Thought Dan Richards did well to jump early and twist to head the ball back into the corner of the net for the first goal. Not too much in the way of saves for either keeper to make in the first half although Helston's did make a fine full length one to push the ball around the post.

Superb corner by Nixon for the second goal, putting the ball on Smith's head early in the second half and that effectively sealed the game.

Tim Nixon was a handful for the Helston defence all afternoon though i thought the no.2 for Helston stuck to his task well.

The man in the middle,George Pattison, had a fine game and kept a firm lid on any misdeeds.

Camelford started well against Torpoint and created a few half chances before taking the lead with Jack Fairbrother scoring a fantastic volley after 20 mins. Camelford doubled their lead on 35 through Dan Balsdon and were later denied a penalty when Balsdon was tripped following up a Paddy Rushden free kick.

2nd half was the complete opposite. Torpoint much sharper and got a goal back after about 60 mins. At this stage it looked like there was only going to be one winner but after 85 mins Balsdon latched on to a Fairbrother flick on before finishing well to make it 3-1. Torpoint continued pressing but Camelford managed to see the game out for an important 3 points.

Watched Ivybridge get taught a lesson in football by a very well organised and experienced Exmouth team. From the first whistle Exmouth took control and Ivybridge had very little to offer. We will see on Tuesday whether the Ivybridge boys are real title challengers or just also rans.

St Dennis 2 Penzance 0.

It was a shame we didn't get a point out of this game. Due to work commitments this was only the second time I have had the chance to watch Penzance so far this season. The first time was the heavy defeat at Helston, but what a huge improvement this performance was.

Keep at it, guys, and maybe the results will start to turn in the end.
