DanBlazey
DanBlazey's preview: Premier: Ivybridge Town v Liskeard Athletic: Liskeard put in a resilient defensive performance against St Blazey last week, but will do well to stop Ivybridge, one of the teams who could go top with a win today. Witheridge v Lanson: Both sides will consider they have had unfortunate starts to the season, Lanson due to injuries and Withy due to narrow defeats. Withy will probably go top five with a win whereas Lanson are just looking to pull away from the danger zone. Torpoint Athletic v Dartmouth: Both of these sides sit in mid table and it could be a close encounter. St Blazey v Wadebridge Town: St Blazey saw last week's draw against Liskeard as two points dropped and will be looking to put in a better performance against the Bridge today. A win could see them into the top five or better. Holsworthy v Bodmin Town: Holsworthy are looking for their first win of the season against title favourites Bodmin. Bodmin will retain their 100% winning record with a win and it could be enough to see them go top. Elburton Villa v Tavistock: Villa are another of the sides who go regain top spot with a win today. 3 points for inconsistent Tavi will see them no better than mid table. Clyst Rovers v Falmouth Town: In the days "basement battle", Clyst are hoping for their first win and would leapfrog Falmouth if they are able to achieve this goal. Bovey Tracey v Penzance: Tracey have shown some excellent form so far, but a win for Penzance will probably be enough for them to head the table tonight. SWPL West: St Austell will almost certainly lead the table tonight. They face struggling Mousehole at home.
Dave Deacon
Gate? It'll be a massive step forward if we get the scorers! Personally I'm not too bothered with the attendances. Probably better to wait until the "official" figures get released at a later date. :D

Guest The Judge aka RED OR DEAD
Thanks to those who see that CTB Combo idea is a good one and why I have nicked it. Perhaps DanBlazey or someone else would like to start the thread again, as I now find I don't have the time this evening to cut/paste the scores and scorers. Thanks to CTB who should be commended for his sterling work on the Combo forum but no royalties unfortunately.

DanBlazey
St Blazey 2-1 Wadebridge Town attendance: 120+ St Blazey made hard work of this one and were losing for the first hour or so. Highlight of the day was seeing Glynn Hooper playing again - I don't think it's the last we'll see of him somehow! Up the greens! :clapper:

Guest The Judge aka RED OR DEAD
Foxhole 0 v 0 Newquay AFC Possibly the worst game I have seen in years. Foxhole hit the woodwork 4 times but other than that didn't do much else, Newquay with just one up front were never going to emulate last seasons result. Most of the game was fought out in midfield, neither side putting more than 5mins of pressure together. I'm sure Darin Morse will have seen the game differently, but to be honest a crap game from which both sides got what they deserved. Right, rant over, I'm off to take a double dose of my medication and leave you good folk to it.

Mr unorthodox
Millbrook 0-0 Turo Millbrook dominating first half playing some nice football but without truely testing the turo keeper, and turo's main chance coming from a corner when the truro right back sent a looping header back in only for it to be comfortably tipped over. Second half saw the game change for the worse with the ball spending more time in the air then on the deck. Millbrook's football seemed to vanish from the first half, and again didn't truely test the turo goal. turo on the other hand failed to capitalise on loose balls in the box producing on tame headers on the millbrook goal. however one good chance for turo came when a ball was partially cleared from a corner only for it to land to a turo player who struck a low hard shot goalbound, only for it to be well saved. The final opportunity of the game came when turo broke down the left wing with "simo" who went one on one with Gill, who saved well from a low drive. All in all a game where a draw was fair after the 90mins, with the only let down to be from the quality of refereeing... can't have it all though! :drink:

Graham Martin
Peppermint - I agree with you - Truro were atrocious on the day and from what I saw will be lucky to win the replay..! I believe Newquay will have the pleasure of a visit from Bridport in the FA Vase soon. Watch out for their big and fast centre forward - he can be quite a handfull. Their keeper is very usefull too. Best of luck.

Guest Peppermint
BigG - one of our supporters saw the Truro/Bridport game and he had the same opinion has you about the striker and the keeper. He also stated that Truro did not play their best side but hopefully City can put that right in the replay. Newquay will have their work cut out in the Fa Vase on Saturday against a club at least two steps higher. I note that Bridport are languishing near the bottom of the table but it is early days yet. Good luck to City - it would be nice if they progressed far enough to have a home tie against a Footballl League club - Torquay or Exeter would be great.
