St Breward 4 - 1 Delabole

St breward, who looked awful in all of their pre season friendlies, started the season well with a convincing 4-1 win over local rivals delabole. St breward opened the scoring when a corner was punched out by the goalkeeper only to drop to Jordan Hicks who drilled the ball through a crowd of players. The home sides second goal came around the half hour mark when new signing and captain Karl Elliot got hold of a long ball and lobbed the oncoming keeper.

Second half saw both teams looking sharp and there was a lot of end to end action but just past the hour mark Brew scored their 3rd with a good ball through to martin jago who ran the ball into the box and drilled it pat the keeper. 10 minutes later Elliot was on the attack again, this time putting the ball across to substitute Brendan Rose who headered into an empty net. 5 minutes from time Bole Manager Mike Barret got the visitors a consolation goal and denied the impressive nurse his clean sheet.

Duchy 2

Pelynt 2 Polperro 3

Typically close fought game between these 2 evenly matched local rivals, Polperro managing to gift the home side both goals through defensive uncertainty.

However, Polperro were always in front and deserved their win with goals from Rob Bilsborough, James Morris and John Duffy.

Lost Withiel 2 - 4 Bere Alston

Bere scorers: Galway, Doyle, Liddicott and Byworth

Bere were terrible in the first half with (me) the manager trying tactics which didnt work, this left Bere deservedly 2-1 down.

2nd half Bere changed back to their traditional 4-4-2 and were the better side and deserved their 4-2 win, however had Lost Withiel taken their chances in the first half the game could have been dead and buried.

Another good win though against a very good side.

Very disappointing result for Calstock against Lanreath..Calstock were 2-0 with 5mins of 1st half left and conceeded and weak goal making it 2-1 half time. Lanreath came straight at us 2nd half..we weathered the storm only to go 2-2 with sloppy defending and this continued for goal 3 and 4.

My mind boggles as Calstock believe it or not were the better team but results dont lie and feel very angry that we just gifted Lanreath the 3pts. The guys put up there hands and yes its early days but a bad day at the office i think we shall put it down to. We only have ourseves to blame and i have no doubt that we will bounce back!!

Lanreath 4-2 Calsock 2

Well done pete,a good win

AFC St Austell 3 - 0 St Minver,

Both teams playing their first league games of the season. St Austell look very organised and will be pushing Premier Sixes all the way this season. St Minver i know were missing 4 or 5 key players for the game but showed signs of their pre season form in spells. Referee didn't seem to have a clue though  . But neither side should struggle this season.

Good Luck to both teams
