Millbrook 1 v elburton villa 2

was a good game, millbrook dominated for 70mins going 1-0 up! In the first half with their keeper pulling off some great saves to keep millbrook 1 up. Elburton got the equaliser 20mins or so into the second half. The lad curran put through an Inc perfect ball to jaime jones who rounded the keeper but failed to hit target missing an open net! Apparently he doesn't score pre-season!!! 90min elburton get the winner from a corner through a good header from kev yetton...

Great game!!! Man of the match millbrooks keeper!!! Outstanding gilly....

Dave Gardener Tournament

Helston 5-1 Penzance

Pz so short of players today we drafted in 3 youngsters from Marazion, Andy Trathan, John Matthews from Ludgvan, James Eddy and Alan Spencer Smith, The result was a forgone conclusion before kick-off. Surprised we scored.

Apparently Pz were lucky to keep the score to 5,no chance for them in combo this season,Pz should be ashamed as they could have played a much stronger team, but apparently have a HUGE game tomorrow. :angry2: :angry2:

Wrong PZ borrowed players today due to other commitments such as the current cricket season etc. We have every chance in the combo, just like every other team... we'll see when the new season is in full swing! :yahoo:

6-1 on the Penzance website

Think this could have been the first Helston victory (covering 11 games) in 5 DG tournaments 2005-09.

R penzance chelsea or liverpool? No they r a small local club!I bet the older club members will be ashamed of the score line and team line up today! What happened to the 30 40 players who started pre season training with pz,did they all have cricket today??You would of thought pz would of wanted a win today as they haven't won a pre season game yet!I hope the launceston changing rooms r big because mewton is bringing 25 players with him tomorrow!

Thanks Kevin,

I was expecting you to provide the info' and good luck to you and your new team for the coming season.

There was plenty of 'never say die' spirit with your lads today.

Robert Hoare goes back a long way in time ( around 1989 I was told) and is the Gardner player any way related to the late Dave? plus the three Stidwell's on the pitch must be related.

Couldn't agree more with this sentiment , an embarrasment for Penzance and to use CRICKET as an excuse.

Long hard season coming up for them.

Stoke Gabriel 2 - 2 Plymstock United

Good result for Plymstock against a very organised Stoke side, possibly could have held out for the win but a wonder strike from Stoke Gabriels centre midfielder made sure we didn't.

A young Plymstock team but with all the heads in the right place, could well spring a lot of surprises on the "Big Clubs" this year! Looking forward to playing with the side this season, roll on the 15th!

So who actually is Mike Newbury going to play for this season? Signed for Falmouth combo, played for penryn in the week? and played for Porthleven yesterday
