Alf
How can Wendron call their game off already?
wedding280991
Not surprised the weather this week in the Wendron/ Helston area has been really wet and if you know your not going to play I think it's better to let people know early than keep them waiting

Cornishfootball
who cares when the weather's been this bad. If so much rain has fallen and you know it won't dry then call it. I think St Blazey is off already also

Alf
I'm not doubting that it shouldn't be called off but doesn't the league state game's should only be called off if pitch is unplayable on the day.

Alf
Ok thanks for that, never knew that a club official could call a game off the day before. Is that all levels in local football?
Big_Baller8
I'm sure St Dennis will call their game off with St Mawgan, barely play a game over there do they? That is, of course, if they didn't call it off on Monday anyway......
John Mead
It applies at SWPL level and I'm sure Combo would allow it as well in adverse conditions such as this week.
WendronOfficial
With the weather we’ve had over the past week it is common sense to call it off early doors. All three of our pitches are unplayable and were checked by a referee, ground staff and club officials. With both Wadebridge and St Buryan among the three teams coming to Wendron today, it makes sense to call it early to save them the journey and rather than letting them know later on the morning of. Allows everyone to sneak in some valuable extra Christmas shopping time. Have a great Christmas everyone.
