STITHIANS 3-0 PERRANWELL

Weird one really! Two goals from natural finisher Treve Bale, a 2 yard free header after a great cross in the 10th minute and a decent shot and finish into the bottom corner from 10 yards after 19 minutes saw the hosts into a comfy lead but from there on it was the visitors with more possession and half chances with a cross come shot off the bar and an effort headed off the line just before the break. The Well Continued with most of the pressure 2nd half but could only create bits and half chances rather than anything clear cut with home keeper Liam Bray handling well with a couple of low strikes off the greasy surface and punching a few dangerous crosses clear. Stithians always looked lively going forward and nicked another one in the 90 + 2 minutes to make it a clear cut win. Sorry was up the other end? Sure Brayer will put a report on later? Great start to the season for Stithians, look a good side, and good bunch of lads and also loads better from Perranwell, they will wonder how they've lost this game by 3 goals tonight!!? Very well reffed by Mr Bill Trethewey, 83 years young tomorrow!! Been refereeing for 52 seasons!!! What a remarkable achievement 👏  good game, enjoyed it 👍

Probus 3 Dropship 1 real battle from the Probus boys, wanted it all over the pitch. Probably spoilt a bit from a poor referee but was the same for both sides. Probus for once were clinical in front of goal all be it with a penalty miss. Man of the match was Danny V.

Goals from

Sam Bullen x2

Danny V 1

Cracking bunch of boys down at Dropship come back after and got on it. Look forward to the reverse fixture in October.

As you wished Mate.

Stithians 3-0 Perranwell

We started brightly as we kicked off attacking the shed end and within a 5  minutes we went 1 up lovely work down the right side by Howard Vague crossed in for Treve to head home 1-0. Soon after we pressed for a second and got it on the 10th minute good work down the left by Alex Hennessey cleared away put back into the the box by Tom Roberts for Bale for expertly finish bottom corner for his 7th goal of the season.  Felt we dominated the first 25 minutes played some really good football especially in the middle failing to put chances away. Then after that Perranwell got an top of the game hitting the bar with a cross much to the relief of Bray in goal. Then they had a corner on the 38th minute which was heading in but Stithians defended Jack Reeves headed off the line to keep the scoreline 2-0 apart from that a lot of Perranwell possession without making Bray make a save.

Second Half

Much more of the same Perranwell keeping lots of possession Stithians struggling to get a foothold on the game and in the 50th minute the ball was Played through to Ben Rapsey unfortunately for him the ball didn't fall kindly and could only put the ball wide.  Perranwell kept pressing with Stithians looking dangerous on the break creating a couple of chances. Perranwell winger was creating problems and in the 70th minute a low cross was put into the box Bray got down to stop the tap in at the back post with a big hand which Jack Reeves cleared away. They kept pressing with a zipping shot from the edge of the box which Bray held onto on a very slippy surface. Both teams made changes Stithians defending well.  Then in the 87th minute a ball played through for the perran substitute which was well blocked from Captain Alec Stephens.  In the 92nd minute we put the game to bed when substitute Tom Furse finished well in the bottom corner for his second of the season.

3-0 Full Time

Thanks to Perranwell for coming back pub after the game. Got a good team stick together and the results will come.

For us strong start to the season winning 4 out of 5. Good team togetherness. Struggled last season already have more points already. Just proves if you stick together things will get better.

Well reffed by Bill Trethewey credit to you keep it going

Chacewater 4 v 5 Storm FC

A truly back and forth game, played the right way by both teams, which I imagine was a great watch for the neutral, less so if you are part of either team 😬

A really good, and resilient performance from us today, twice going behind and coming back both times to eventually bag the winner in the 85th minute. Entire squad digging in deep to hold on for the win and secure our place in the next round. Special mention for the Chacewater keeper today, if he didn't get MOTM then god knows how, great between the sticks today.

Hat Trick from Conner Clark, and a double for Colin Manley puts the pair on 11 in 2 games and 20 between them for the season so far, long may that partnership continue!! Assists this week coming from Mark Fuller x 3, Ian Chatfield and Josh Weeks.

A really promising start for us at Storm this year, already surpassing last season's league points total.  The hard work seems to finally be paying off.  Proud of the lads today.

St erme 2 wendron 4ths 1

good one to ref today a very tight affair both teams battled all afternoon for it. Both teams used the slope to good affect with alot of direct play but with plenty of intensity. St erme probably edged it overall but it could have gone either way

good lads to ref with no real issues on show an easy day to be a referee long may it continue
