Parkway 1 Sholing 3

Recommended Posts

Sholing did the equivalent of kicking a man when he's down by scoring 2 goals in 2nd half stoppage time, and condemning Parkway to their 3rd defeat from their opening 3 matches. The 1 positive would be Oscar Halls getting the opening goal of the campaign.

Doesn't get any easier for Lee Hobbs' side, small matter of a long trip to Chesham on Saturday to take on a side that is played 2, won 2 this season (their first match against Hanwell was abandoned due to a prolonged cloudburst rendering the pitch dangerous). Possibly the sort of match where nobody expecting anything could take the pressure off, and help to produce a backs to the wall performance.

Terrible goals to concede again ,Mistakes at the back and from the keeper . Looked disjointed and lacking ideas and far to easy to play to play through    .
sholing deserved the win and parkway have a huge task on thier hands to find some form

Lee desperately needs 2-3 qualify players in there .the central defence has no cover    Midfield too light , missing an Austin booth type and they need a striker urgently

lee looked very disheartened on the interview after

Got to feel for parkway, ref making them make HT substitutions because of yellow cards.. was wondering how this loss was going to be the refs fault again.

Everyone knew they haven't replaced the players they lost, could be a long season at this rate.

Went to this game with a mate of mine.......the winning goal (2-1) didn't look like a free kick so technically the refs fault but all in all the ref had a decent game........did miss a massive call not sending the sholing player off for a blatant shirt pull when in on goal.but over the course of the game he was good.

See...you can generally have a good game but make pivotal errors.(as can players)

I’m afraid parkway have to move away from this Blame the ref attitude now and concentrate on looking at themselves

yes he was very poor Saturday but last night the ref was not the issue.
the issue are strikers not scoring and missing sitters. Midfielders not working , defenders making countless errors and a keeper making a huge error. Add to stupid sending off by lane costing his team  and Lee himself getting sent off  . It’s time to take some accountability.

it is only early and time to turn it around but there needs to be some massive improvements all over.

5 games to save his job apparently so had better move fast if wants to bring players in

Can't see that happening, think he's pretty safe at Parkway (been very wrong on these sort of things before mind), but i have doubt that he knows it's a results game. Still don't think the panic button needs to pressed, 10 league games is probably the benchmark to use.

Perhaps the management team needs strengthening a bit though, with somebody being brought in who has a wider knowledge and connections within the non league/lower league world to work with Lee on recruitment. Truro and Mousehole appear to have this sort of network in place.
