LWC Drinks Combination League AGM

Recommended Posts

Before the AGM started, Mr John Roberts was presented with an award for fifty years service to football in West Cornwall, an Award presented my Mr Steve Carpenter of the St Piran League on behalf of the FA and CFA. The first few years as a player, then as a referee, then for taking up many roles at Helston Atlhletic. Finally he has been Fixtures and Registration Secretary for the Combination League for the past twenty-two seasons.
Well done Sir.

Other news from the AGM
LWC Drinks are sponsoring the League for a further two seasons
With that in mind it was agreed that next season's Affiliation Fee to the League would remain the same.
The new season starts on Saturday 13th August so start planning your training, friendlies, etc.
At the end of last season there were 1106 players registered with the League.
The MAXIMUM charge that can be charged for entry to watch a match is £3/£1.50.
The Management Committee resigned on-mass but there was NOT ONE applicant to join so they were re-elected on-mass.
Honourums to stay the same (Homurums are small sums to help pay costs of running the league such as helping to pay transport when representing the League at County meetings, or postage, paper costs, etc).
Our Auditors who do our accounts for free were re-appointed
Cheques (Prize Money) were handed out the the finalists of the two cups. It will cover the cost of the Bubbly.
Top marked Referee by the clubs was Mark Rowe with 90.36 out of 100.
Mawnan won the tropy for the club that scored the most goals without being Champions.
Luke Wort of Mawnan recieved the Golden Boot Award.
There were no Sporting Trophy or Respect Trophies handed out as not enough clubs were putting it on full full time thus making it unfair
This also happened with the Referee's Pooling where clubs would send in details about how much they had paid refs for travelling. Teams further away would pay more so making it fair the league would average out for everyone so some clubs had to pay in a few quid to the fund whilst others recieved a few quid back. It was to bring fairness to every team but this past season very few clubs did it so it wasn't possible.
Luke Wilkes gave a quick talk on full time. Yes he knows it is not perfect and things like OG and penalties are awkward but an updated version is in the pipeline but for now just put in your full time score. Also results must be added to full time asap after the final whistle.
