I thought Mousehole played well, but Porthleven played better - even with 10 men. Three cracking goals for Porthleven too. For our 1st, from the other side of the half way line it looked like the linesman raised his flag then put it down again so not sure what happened there, but the referee himself (Andrew MacKnight) had a very solid game. Good luck to Porthleven in the final. TheolderIgetthebetterIwas and Dave Deacon
footienut
Well. Who'd have thought. Port are in the final. They played with a weakened team last night due to injuries, cup-tied players and unavailability including influential skipper Dan Greet. Thought the Port back four, especially Martin Webster and Jordan Greet, coped well with the Mousehole forward line and kept Gerrans James very quiet until deep into stoppage time when he belted home a cracker. Port's three goals were quality from Jamie Greet, Martin Webster and Dan Parker, the latter two from well-worked free kicks. Jamie was later correctly sent off during a bit of pushing and shoving, but I really can't see why the Mousehole player who actually started the whole thing by reacting to the foul didn't go too. Well done to all those involved. Thecupfootballblogger
