Xanie25
Enjoyable match at Jenkins Park a good crowd, the majority being Exmouth supporters braved the freezing cold and watched a game that could of been a closer result if the Exmouth forwards were not constantly off side and Chris Wearing was not on such great form in the Millbrook goal. Millbrook were without thier strikers of Jake Foster and Rikki Sheperd but Josh Toulson who has played in many positions stepped up to the plate along side Tom Payne and combined brilliantly. The speed of Josh caused problems for Exmouth and after being brought down enabled captain Tom to score from the penalty spot. Josh then slotted a goal before half time. Second half Jack Wood scored a great goal out of the blue and Exmouth seemed to just switch off. Even thier brillant supporters could not rally them into a fight back. The nail in the coffin was a superb individual goal by Josh again which gave Millbrook the well deserved win. Macca Brown brought on 2 youngsters for the final 10 mins and they adapted well into the squad. Another clean sheet, and a brillant work rate from the whole team is paying off. A team that can hold thier own in the Western League mattelot
Billy Jacka
Cracking game at Trungle park on Saturday horrible day and very wet pitch but both sides to their credit kept the ball down and played some very high quality stuff. The result could have gone either way with both sides creating chances due to their quality play but the seagulls came out on top to send the 107 crowd home happy but the real winner was football on a horrible day two good sides playing the right way with no hounding of the ref and not a bad tackle in what was a really high quality encounter if only we could see more of this every week. Well done all involved. The only casualty was the pitch but that will give me something to do this week.
