And. Although vaccination gives you limited protection it does not stop you transmitting it to those not innoculated yet...so what chance 1, 2, 3, 4 hundred in a local football match? Would be playing roulette with peoples lives.

As I said before, and based on the things you have mentioned above Older, a full restart in front of unlimited crowds in August seems very optimistic. The government have already alluded to the ending of full lockdown meaning a return to the tier system , this would see similar restrictions to what was in place during October and November remaining in place through until who knows when (more informed voices have already spoken about further COVID waves next winter). What that means for clubs in terms of reduced revenue streams from clubhouses and food sales, not to mention the added cost of maintaining COVID security measures is anybody's guess. Could see some clubs (especially those in areas that land in higher tiers) having tough discussions in house about opting out of playing matches.
