I stand corrected, 2minutes. Yep defo 3pm KO is fine, plus it gives an extra 30mins between the morning matches and afternoon matches.

Although 2:30 or 3pm, it doesn't matter for Saturday it's going to be high winds (approx 40-50mph) and very heavy rain. Wrap up warm!😁

And 4 games on the pitch in 8 days...do they think we have a premier standard pitch and 10 groundsman...going to end up a mess!

Hi all,

Unfortunately our first team game is OFF tomorrow due to a precaution on our part, as one of our players and his family are all showing symptoms. We are awaiting test results and do not know if it is positive or negative so lets not turn into the BBC and start scaremongering. The FA guidelines state that training and matches do not count towards close contact, but we as a club are taking precautions due to the close contact of players (4 at a time) in changing rooms, car sharing of said player and him being within our clubhouse after the game. Clubhouse CCTV has been checked at the player has sat near 4 first team players throughout the course of the evening, these will now self isolate until we have the test results as per national guidelines. To reassure everyone, the club, is taking precautions tomorrow for our own members and of course the rest of the footballing community.

On Tuesday our first and second team trained together and our thirds trained separately therefore their should be no issue with them playing tomorrow. However the combination league have decided to take precautions too and cancel the combination league match. Although under FA guidance this is not necessary they are right to take precautions as we are dealing with life not just a game of football. There is every possibility as well, that the said player has not contracted the virus until after Tuesday, if he has even contracted it at all, but lets be safe rather than sorry.

People who do not show symptoms or who have not been in close contact with any know person do not need to self isolate. Our third team are healthy thanks to many players from the youth stepping through. The management have a head ache every week picking a team due to a healthy squad numbers. I do not think late on a Friday night they need even further headaches trying to fit in "higher league players" into an already full squad.

Obviously with the predicted weather forecast we may not all play anyway.😂

Lizard 3-4 Culdrose.

Typical Cornish and especially lizard-like weather was present throughout, especially the last ten of the first half where seeing the ball through the rain/hail was a bonus!
First half ended 2-2, Culdrose with the hefty wind behind them, Culdrose taking the lead with a great finish by the 🐈, running 50 years to get onto the end of a through ball after some great work down the right. A couple of defensive mistakes meant they were 2-1 down after 2 quick fire goals until a great half volley by Shilvock equalised on half time for the visitors.

Second half and Culdrose were far the better side throughout, Although  falling behind when the Lizard striker ran through and slotted home (at least 3 yards off , agreed by the home bench!) and although the away linesman raised his flag it was duly ignored by the referee. This brought out the battle fever in the Culdrose boys and they equalised after a great overlapping down the right by the sprightly 38 YO Centre midfielder delivering the ball of the game, a pinpoint far post cross for a diving header. the winner was scored after a great through ball and the striker rounded the keeper and slotted home for the win.
