On a very windy afternoon at Kimberley Stadium the Ashes pulled off a great result against Western Premier Division outfit Westbury United who have not dropped a point in the league so far this season.

The Ashes opened the scoring on 21 minutes when man of the match Dave Barker got on the end of a fine move involving Ryan Richards and Sam Hughes and fired the ball into the corner of the net.

Callum Demkiv made it 1-1 after only 2 minutes of the second half and the home support must have thought that this was the turning point of the game but not so.

The Ashes once again got their noses in front just after the hour mark when Dave Trott scored straight from a corner.

Wesbury threw everything at Saltash and everyone was thinking how long before an equaliser but it never came and in the end Saltash looked the more likely to score with Trott and Maddison going close.
