Who fancies a predictions league for the Vets football? Stuff the Premierland (or whatever they call it nowadays). Cornwall Vets FA is the league of choice.

3 points for correct scoreline. 1 point if you get the general result right. 90 minutes of football only. No extra time or penalties. Play to the last game of the season. No shame in being biased for the team you play for. Just go for it.

Here's my predictions for this week (Grandstand biddy printer style):

Bodmin Town 2 Penzance 3

Boscastle 2 St Dennis 2

Constantine 0 Downderry Rovers 2

Halsetown 1 Grampound 1

Holmans Cruisers 3 Wendron 2

Perranporth 3 Callington Town 1

Threemilestone 1 Packhorse 2

Western Inn 2 St Agnes Bolsters 1

Boscastle v st Dennis

superbly reffed by a guy that was probably the youngest person on the pitch, handled everything spot on!

goals scored for st Dennis by my self n kev morcom with 2,we missed enough chances to win this game thrice over n that let boscastle get back into it with 2 goals from corners n bill Davies with saving at the death wot looked like a certain equaliser, impressed with the changing rooms today as last time I played up boscastle it wasn't the best but good to c the improvements that have been made.

well done to both teams on today's game!

Threemilestone 1 Packhorse 4, "comfortable" win for the away side though it took until the 80th minute to go 3-1 up. Dave Hooper opened the scoring within 5 minutes, the home side equalising shortly after. Mark Place headed in from a pinpoint Cameron Hague cross shortly before half time. Packhorse player/manager Weasel added a third, Ray Burnell tapped home a forth. Good result for us against a completive side. Conditions were great, pitch perfect, referee did his job and the home side good sports.

Threemilestone 1  Packhorse 4

A good game to referee on a bright and sunny day at Boscawen Park.

Early goal for Packhorse which was levelled by a well placed shot from the edge of the penalty area into the corner of the net.The visitors went ahead just before the break when the striker got on the end of a long cross to head in from close range.

Packhorse leading 2-1 for most of the second half with always the chance of a Threemilestone breakaway but the visiting captain and his sidekick were in good form to snuff out most threats.Packhorse went further ahead very late in the game when "weasel" cut in from the right to score inside the near post and almost immediately a cross was finished at the back post.

Mr and Mrs Rapsey almost doubled the number of spectators in the second half.
