midlandlilywhite
Full time 4-0 . A massive result sets up things beautifully for the Vase Sem-final on Saturday. Well done Lafs and the lads. Come on the Town !

HENRY HORNET
Saltash were a pale shadow of their earlier season results at both Ivybridge & St Austell. Intentional or otherwise, we seem to have moved to 4 2 4, which is allowing teams to more quickly coming forward and overwhelming a defence that has played well all season? Having only 2 midfield players, they are finding themselves all over the place and either not winning ball or being rushed into poor distribution. Should we really be playing 4 4 2 (intentional or otherwise?)
Dave Lean
Henry, do you mean Saltash Were a pale shadow of the team that lost 7-2 to St.Austell in the league? Or the one that lost 4-0 to them in the Vase?
Mike Odgers
David Lean -left St.Austell and played two seasons for Plymouth Argyle (69-71) and then moved on to player/manager at Saltash.Just a coincidence I presume?

Argyle Fan
Saltash were well beaten - played some nice stuff in midfield but no penetration up front. The St Austell keeper could have brought out a deckchair & newspaper he had so little to do. pastyman
billybear4, yes St Austell have been "the ashes" bogey team this season. a bit disrespectful to say they pulled their pants down though. Given the budget at Saltash and that at St Austell, the so called "lillywhites" should have won the league already.
