From North Petherwin. Full apologies from us. Many of us had 2 get back 4 club party but wasn't aware till home that only 1 car went to cobweb. It's bad form i know but poor comms rather than any bitterness. I hope u accept our apology. And well played 2 your side in a very deserving win.

Tregony 2 queens 1

A competitive game played at tregony.queens with more possesion but not creating any clear cut chances.tregony breaking away and creating some good chances jake foster hitting the bar harry wilsher failure to connect when one on one!some good crosses from simon matthews always asking questions of the queens back line being well marshalled by matty gummow.set pieces were providing a good challenge with steve floyd norris and bambi challenging for crosses one of theses challenges led to the ball breaking for andrew barnes whose shot was blocked floydy heading in the looping ball 2nd half tregony made some changes and increased there lead with a great pen keeper lucky to stay on the pitch after a great run from the impressive connor rhodes queens pressed and scored late in the game tregony held firm to claim the 3pts disappointed not to see grant williams of queens due to injury shane hendra maybe a little to involved in the game but generally reffereed well!

JJ JONES DUCHY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Padstow United stay top of the Premier Division after a 2-1 win at Pelynt. This was a hard fought game with the home team deprived two confident penalty appeals. Kevin Murt and Kevin Allen scored for Padstow with Tom Davies replying for Pelynt.

Second placed Looe Town had a player dismissed in the first half but a superb team performance took them to an impressive 3-0 win over Lamerton. Twin marksmen Matt Barton and Luke Cloke scored a goal apiece with Jordan Powell adding the other goal.

North Petherwin scored two late goals to turnaround the game at Saltash United and win 3-2. Goals from Tom Jane and Karl Whitehead gave the hosts a 2-1 lead with five minutes to goal before the visitor’s late sting in the tail. Dan Warring, Joe Reeve and Ashley Millar were the Petherwin goal-scorers.

St.Newlyn East still await their first point of the season after a 4-1 defeat at St.Dominick. The hosts took a 20th minute lead when Corey Nesbit’s cross was converted by Adam Tozer. Five minutes before half time Tozer, on his debut, added his second from a corner on the right. Another debut boy Kieran Fedrick scored the third after the restart and ten minutes from time Tozer completed his hat trick. Harry Mugford pulled back a consolation goal five minutes later.

St Stephen made a good start taking the lead on 11 minutes at home to St.Columb Major when a cross from wide on the right by Jason Rundle was put in from close range by Ross Dunn. St Stephen increased the lead on 38 minutes when Bryan Paull scored also from close range. The second half was more even but St Stephen could have scored more including one effort that went over the keeper but struck the crossbar and was cleared to safety.

A feisty local derby in Division One saw Premier Sixes beat Godolphin Atlantic 4-2. The home side have endured a horrific spate of injuries since the start of the season and had fifteen players missing for one reason or another and three making their debuts. On the other hand Godolphin were able to field their strongest team so far this season with 4 or 5 players who had represented their first team at some point in the squad so the eventual defeat hurt even more. Dan Woodgate fired into the top corner to give Sixes the lead after 5 minutes and Martyn Probert doubled the lead with a cool finish 10 minutes later. Dan Cheadle pulled Godolphin back in the game with 25-yard free kick. Sixes responded well winning a penalty. Tom Currah tucked away the rebound after Godolphin keeper Nathan Prentice had saved the penalty. Woodgate added his second before half time to give Sixes a 4-1 lead. Godolphin had one period of dominance in the first half and had another good spell after the interval with Ben Howlett getting their second in this period. Sixes were awarded a second penalty but Woodgate saw his effort well saved and as the half progressed Godolphin lost their discipline. Cheadle was sent off and so was their linesman. The home side missed some chances, Godolphin hit a post and had one saved on the line in a frantic game.

Edgcumbe continued their much improved form beating Grampound 3-1. Lewis White, Mike Fazackerly and James Carhart scored for Edgcumbe with Ryan Orchard replying for Grampound.

Holywell/Cubert eased away from the lower reaches of Division Two after beating Lifton 5-1. Ashley Williams hit a hat trick with Simon Holmes and Anthony Thanley getting a goal apiece. Lifton replied with a Tom Horn goal.

Sticker moved up to second after goals from Jack Boardman and substitute Luke Perkes gave them a 2-1 win at Packhorse Athletic. The home side again struggling to put a team on the field replied through Ross Willcock.

St.Stephen reserves were no match for Division Three leaders Veryan going down to a 10-2 away defeat. Justin Trebilcock gave Veryan the lead and from there it was very comfortable. Alex Pearce hit a hat trick, Dan Vincent and Bobbly Lee Johns a brace apiece. Craig Phillips completed the home total with Dan Robinson and Anouar Jamai replying for St.Stephen.

Tregony leapfrog Queens Rangers to go second after their 2-1 defeat of their rivals. Steve Floyd-Norris and Kieran Davey from the penalty spot for Tregony with Jamie Seery replying.

Boscastle move into contention for promotion after giving North Petherwin reserves a 7-1 beating. Jake Dickinson and Harley Westlake scored a brace apiece with Sam Haddy, Dan Piper and Nick Lawson adding further goals. Glen Charnock scored the visitors lone consolation.

High Street maintained their 100 percent start in Division Four with a 2-0 defeat of promotion rivals St.Merryn. A scrappy game was decided by two Matt Jackson goals.

St.Minver reserves won their derby with Wadebridge Town 3-1. Joe Robinson, Ryan Parsons and Dan Wills scored for St.Minver with Jon May replying.

Tregrehan Mills and Delabole United drew two all. Delabole were the better side in the first half with Mills better in the second half especially after the dismissal of a Delabole player. Corey Cross and Adam Sabine scored for the hosts with Glen Burrell getting both Delabole goals.

Kilkhampton won the battle of the top two in Division Five with a convincing 4-0 defeat of St.Dennis reserves. The visitors defended heroically in the first half, but they eventually folded to the host’s continuous pressure. Matty Jones scored a brace with Calvin Parnell adding a penalty and Tom Shadrick completing their tally.

Padstow United reserves fell to a disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Saltash United reserves. They had most of the possession but no cutting edge with the visitors getting three goals from four chances created. Lee Powell scored a brace and Lewis Anderson-Smith one goal for Saltash with Billy Elliott getting the home consolation.

Roche won 5-2 at St.Newlyn East reserves to move level on points in second place. Neil Trudgeon scored a brace with Andy Geach, Ben Lawrence and Aaron Honey completing the visitors tally. Phil Rowe and Darren Keal scored the two Newlyn goals.

St.Teath travelled to St.Mawgan reserves winning 1-0 with Craig Thompson getting the only goal.

St dominic 4-1 st newlyn East

Very good team performance from St dom in a game where we should have scored more. pleased for Adam Keith to bow out as manager on a high.

You boys should of scored more and played well, unfortunately having 13 missing and 2 playing injured meant we weren't that competitive! Was disappointed with your captain and boys on the bench who continually slated our 17 yo old keeper who was making his first appearance for the first time in 2 years due loss of confidence and that this standard didn't really think it was very sportmans like

St Stephen fully deserved there win and I was disappointed with the rest of our players turn out at your pub. It's poor sportsmanship and win, lose or draw. We should always go to the away pub. Look forward to the reverse fixture and you'll get a pint that we had a bet on :)
