Paul
As good as he is hes a complete nut case. One day something would happen or hes the type to disappear. Liverpool have £75 million in the bank. Good business I reckon.
Tom Trust
Good riddance to the little cheat. What really dismayed me was that his fellow pros - which, from the Premiership means mainly foreign players - voted him as their player of the year, and pundits like Shearer and Lineker seemed to endorse this, neither of whom would have stooped to the depths that Suarez plumbed. Fantastic ball skills, eye for goal and football brain, yes, but disqualifying himself from greatness by his antics. To me, this was a real indicator of the depths to which the once beautiful game has descended. Can anyone imagine the likes of Moore, Charlton, Best, Hurst, Matthews, Haynes, Osgood, Giles, Reaney - you get the idea - behaving like Suarez? A shame he never had the chance to bite Chopper Harris. He wouldn't have lasted the game or played again.
Jeff's Telling
Little cheat ?? The biggest cheat I've ever seen seen in professional football, total disrespect for his fellow players, the rules of the game, and officials. The fact that he is a decent enough player pales into insignificance when set against his antics. Good riddance ! (If you not guessed I don't like him much)
stevieb
Great player , bad role model , arsenal may have won the prem league if they could have bought him last year , but in hindsight probable dodged a bullet , good money , but as spurs last season with bale leaving a big hole to fill ,
Halfback
I have to agree with the comment Roy Hodgson made i.e. England are too honest in the way we play the game,we are not coached to cheat,, and long shall that continue,,, I also fully agree with the post Tom Trust made above,,,,, Any of you youngters who don't recognise any of those names mentioned, just ask your fathers ,,( or grandfathers ),,, ya, I would of loved to see Suerez take on Chopper Harris or Norman Hunter, oh ya, bring it on !!!,,,,,
Gripper Stebson
Suarez will also pocket 20% of that 75 million, should be enough to go for a bite of lunch.
Tom Trust
Nice one, Gripper! And JT, I only meant "little" as in stature. I agree, his cheating was on a massive scale.
bluestorm
Big loss for Liverpool, hope they spend the cash better than Spurs did when they sold Bale!
Nemesis
Fifa's sanctions include a ban on "all football related activities" for four months, a nine-match ban from international football, and a fine of 100,000 Swiss francs (£66,000). Surely a transfer between two clubs is a 'football related activity' ? Likewise, he will be undergoing a medical in order for the transfer to go through, if that is not football related, I don't know what is - or do they require all employees including ticket & programme sellers to do the same fitness test ? I trust that Both Liverpool & Barcelona are banned from all football related activities for four months and nine matches in the Champions League, for facilitating this violation of Fifa's sanctions ? Nemesis - It is a pity his transfer was allowed (Shush, I agree with you re no transfer) however, at the time of the announcement Fifa were having a question and answer session the question was raised about a transfer being possible and the Fifa lady replied 'Yes'. After all it is football talk that needs it's own specialised interpreter.
MOUNTAINEER
It's ironic that if Giorgio Chielline had been sent off against England as he should have been he wouldn't have played against Uruguay therefore, Suarez wouldn't have been able to bite him and avoid suspension - It's a funny old game.
