MOUNTAINEER
League leaders Woking came back from a first minute deficit, a goal from Les Afful, to go in at half time leading 3-1, the Cards added to that scoreline late in the second half to run out winners by 4 goals to 1. A spirited Truro City performance against the Conference South's best side. Truro City remain in 8th position 4 points off the play-offs, a good position for any team experiencing Conference football for the first time. bobbylee11
woking's finishing was top draw good game only downside was the fighting/fight during half time and woking's dislike to hayles
Duty281
The difference was quite simply clinical finishing. 4 chances for Woking = 4 goals. Why is Pugh not playing? Where was Watkins? Why are the referees so crap? Still it has been a decent start to life in the conference for Truro. Home to Welling next week.

modfather
woking's finishing was top draw good game only downside was the fighting/fight during half time and woking's dislike to hayles The fans tried to protect their own from Heaney's henchmen (stewards) who tried to put up their flags, unbelievable stuff, fortunately the police were sympathetic to the fans and diffused the situation, oddly enough the stewards couldn't give a stuff when the Woking fans were coming out with racial abuse !, this club is a total shambles and Heaney has to go - btw folks he hasn't got the money to pay the tax bill, fact. cornishteddyboy
I heard the Truro manager being interviewed on the radio. He said neither him nor the players knew what was going on at the club and he didn't know if they would be playing next week. Bad show, Surely they are the people who should be kept in the know! skeletor
Why do truro fans want heaney to go? Surely if he goes the truro adventure stops and its back to square one?

Common Tater
I think the point has come where Heaney, no longer flush with cash, can do no more for the club. His reaction to his forced impotence - forced by the collapse of his building company at the start of the recession and no particular fault of his - has been to lash out in all directions at anyone who disagrees with him. Official supporters club, volunteer stewards, unofficial supporters clubs, one or two past managers, a couple of secretaries, a match day manager, a commercial manager - it's amazing what you hear chatting to Truro-based fans at away games as well as around Treyew Road if I happen to be there - the list is pretty comprehensive. Like Churchill, he served an important purpose but his usefulness reached an end. Even the players and team management are openly referring to the current uncertainty, so the writing is well and truly on the wall. The club may or may not get a 28 day reprieve on Monday. If it doesn't, then ZAP! It's gone. If it does, then after that 28 days - who knows? But if he miraculously comes up with the cash, it still leaves Heaney in charge and the club just likely to continue to suffer from his leadership. For the club to thrive he needs to walk away, but of course with his future development and financial plans so dependent upon his hold over Treyew Road, he won't do that and no-one is likely to "come in" with him or likely to put any money into the club as long as he is there. Nemesis
Perhaps he could sell the club to Risdale for a quid.

hedgerow
They owe £100,000 to the taxman. If they do not pay up they could be forced into administration which could mean 10 point deduction. Is this a likley outcome ?
