Football person
whats happening at falmouth, thought they would really have a good chance at winning the senior cup? alan must be devastated, have the players let him down, as with the dollars they're shuffling out, surely the results should be better? Postie-hammer?
Never Touched Him Ref
Players haven't let him down, he's not a very good manager. Players don't play for him for his football knowledge they play for him for his money
derek martyn
Godolphin 5 - 0 Edgcumbe Godolphin 2-0 up against a spirited Edgcumb at the break. A wonderful passing move and a sublime finish from Josh Harris on the hour mark put the game beyond the visitors who shipped two more second half goals. Good luck to Edgcumbe for the rest of the season from all at Godolphin
Gareth Rowett
Bit harsh Never Touched Him Ref, Trevor Mewton, as much as you may hate him, is one of the most, if not the most successful cornish manager of all time. The trophies and awards he has won is unbelievable. He defiantly knows something that's for certain!!
Never Touched Him Ref
What's Trevor Mewton got to do with it? I was talking about Alan Carey :SM_carton:

Mike Odgers
whats happening at falmouth, thought they would really have a good chance at winning the senior cup? alan must be devastated, have the players let him down, as with the dollars they're shuffling out, surely the results should be better? Postie-hammer? Too many players coming and going (29 used so far) I understand a new one in yesterday and another left the club. Falmouth OUT of all Cup competitions before Christmas-when did that last happen? Admittedly tough draws in the Throgmorton Cup v Bodmin and in yesterdays Senior Cup at Launceston. The home Vase cup exit was pathetic and the F A Cup expected. A glimmer of hope for the season is that they have dropped 16points which compares favourably with the four clubs conceding 14 points and two clubs conceding 15 points. So hopefully they can kick start their league campaign to keep the season alive

Guest joe davey
i dont think they have the right mix of players at falmouth. dont get me wrong, they have some talented and experienced players but they seem to be playing for themselves and not for the team. you cant have too much talent in the same side at this level. you need players who are happy to do the shit stuff, the chasing and fighting, they compliment the ball players and allow them to play. im sure al carey will not be happy until he has a consistant squad of players churning out consistant results. as soon as the tide turned last night in launceston's favour a few of the falmouth players just wanted to blame anybody or anything for their own lack of fight, passion and will to win at all costs. good luck to al in sorting his players who clearly think they are better than they really are. The Python
Here we go again, (Never Touched Him Ref) you have nothink constructive to say about football or tactics so lets bring up money, you say the players only play for Alan Carey for the money, and we all know that the Bodmin, St Blazey, Penzance etc players are all local lads playing for there belovied clubs for nothink. As for Alan Carey did'nt he step down to the Combination league last year at Mullion not loosing a game, I might be wrong but I think he only made a couple of changes. Give credit wheres it's due mate.
randy watson
Out of interest joe how many times have you watched Falmouth play this season ? Im guessing you have only watched them twice so did they have the right mix of players when they beat you 1 0 at Bickland a month ago{must have missed your post after that result} or wasnt there enough fight and will to win at all costs even when they scored in the last minutes of injury time to deservedly win that game.Im also sure the right mix of players were playing when you got taught a lesson for the 1st 45 minutes sat and even tho falmouth went in 1 nil up at halftime dont think the clarets could have moaned if it was 4 or 5 nil .The tide turned due to the awful weather conditions in the 2nd half but well done to the launceston players for dealing with those conditions better then falmouth. How many of the falmouth players do you actually know Joe? which 1s told you they were better then they actually are ? Thanks for your insight in to how football should be played tho,im sure all the managers in the league when reading your post will make plans to get rid of some of their talented players and bring some big carthorses into there sides who are willing to do the shit stuff and fight and kick people and maybe cheat to win at all costs.Maybe you should post your number on here so a manager can get you to play for them as from what ive seen and heard no 1 could ever describe the way you play football as talented ! Good luck to bear in obtaining a more qualified and deserving manager when davey goes off to the circus nx season.Hopefully the new manager will act in a more professional manner then joe has done so far as I dont think a manager who grabs another teams player by the shirt and threatens him after the game for trying to injure 1 of his own players is the way forward.I believe his own player later told him he was talking out of his ass.Just a final observation Joe i dont recall another manager ever posting ultra critical views like you have done about another teams players before but I think we have all come to the conclusion you should be a sunday league manager at best. Guest legend2
emm as they say in liverpool calm down, think jo has touched a nerve there, but did you 4get falmouths 2 experienced centre backs almost fighting with each other, thats not good 4 any team, falmouth are a very good team and should be up there near the end of may and i hope they are as alan is good bloke and so are most of there players, good luck 2 both teams but you need 2handle all conditions to win this league :drink:
Guest Postie Pidge
Legend2 is right, to win the league you have to be able to overcome all obstacles. If Flynny and Smithy had a set to it obviously hows how passionate they are
