  1. Afternoon all, back again Unfortunately, St Keverne first league match, due to be on 26th August, has been cancelled due to St Ives Town Res withdrawal 😞 With this in mind, we are looking for a friendly that day. Happy to host, or travel. Drop us a message
  2. Unfortunately, the team St Keverne were due to play tomorrow have pulled out 😞 Looking for a team to play. Anyone interested, please feel free to drop us a message. Ref is already organised
  3. So St Keverne have now finished their league fixtures for this season 😳 We do have Cup games to come, but not until the middle of March. Wondering if any teams would fancy a friendly for... SATURDAY 4th MARCH Happy to host or travel. Get in touch via here, text 07852937458 or message us via our FB page
  4. We were due to play Troon Res yesterday & were informed just after midday that they were unable to raise a side. Very sad, as I'm sure most people will tell you, they'd much rather play a game. Would rather earn the 3pts, than get them in a technicality. Hope they are able to complete the season
  5. DIVISION 3 St Keverne 5-0 St Ives Mariners Game played in great spirits & very competitive for 55 minutes, with the home side scoring 4 2nd half goals in 15 minutes, to take the match away from.the visitors. Would also like to compliment the referee, 16 year old SCOTT COUTTS. He was excellent throughout. Spoke with the players, explained his decision. Could have a very good future
  6. Know it's short notice, but have been let down for this SATURDAY 13th August. Any takers for a friendly, happy to host or travel. Please message via here or 07852937458
  7. St Keverne FC who played in the Trelawny Div 4 last season are looking for a friendly on JULY 16th. Happy to host or travel. Please contact Jeff (assistant manager) 07852937458
  8. Although no longer involved with St Keverne, I'm reliable informed the player in question, Alan Thomas hasn't played for Mullion for about a month & has now signed for St Keverne
  9. Shane could also take a hell of a penalty. Played with him at Mullion & don't think I ever seen him miss
  10. I'll do it, everyone who's seen it is thinking it, but I'll be the one to point it out. That's only 10
  11. Premier Division St Keverne 5 (Bradly Phillips 3, Kelvin Retallack, Ricky Taylor, pen) Mousehole 1 A really good game to watch. Think it would be fair to say St Keverne took their chances in the match & that was the difference. I believe Mousehole were missing a few players, including 2 keepers, although the lad who went in, made 3 cracking saves. A solid performance from the Saints & a welcome 3pts By the way, thought the ref had a decent game ST KEVERNE SQUAD: Martin Duck, Michael Southgate, Craig Peters (C), Steve Tremayne, Jason Phillips, Josh Wilson, Dan Peters, Phil James, Ricky Taylor, Jonny Smith, Bradley Phillips, Dan Oliver, Derek Keverne, Sam Stapleton, Kelvin Retallack
  12. An interesting read & some great idea's on how to go 4ward We had a situation at St Keverne at the beginning of last season when 8 players left us to move to other teams. We struggled to attract new players (also due to location) but managed to get a team 2gether. This included players who had played in the past & came out of retirement to help us, but we also had a handful of 16 year olds come & play for us. We had an ok season & are looking to build on that this year. It's all well & good saying about the good old days, but times change. When I played, Wednesday evening was always training & Saturday was game day, nothing could get in the way of me being involved in both. Nowadays, as someone mentioned in an earlier post, people are more interested in playing on the Xbox, or they have to work on Saturdays or haven forbid go shopping with the Mrs Just out on the Lizard teams such as Mawgan, Cury, Raun Minor are all no more, but you also look at Helston & Mullion doing well, so will always attract the better players in the area. I was always behind the decision to merge the 2 leagues, we just need to trust in the guy's running it & hope they will look at such things as this & take everything on board. Personally I feel there should be less Divisions, but more teams in the one's they keep (16 for each league for example). Teams are going weeks without games & that also contributes to players losing interest & leaving teams, which has a knock on effect.
  13. Think it's wrong teams join a League, get told the start date, then turn around & say they can't start until 4 weeks after everyone else because they can't get a side 2gether for one reason or another. Sorry, either you join the league & everyone starts on the same date, if the league could organise it that way that is OR you don't enter that league to begin with.
  14. I believe so, but surely as they are a college side, they can raise a side for September, even Culdrose have started their league season. Other teams have to cope with having players unavailable, so why not CSM
