Quiet Man
It would have been easy for the Town players to have dropped their heads in the second half going in 3 - 0 down and not having a full squad to pick from, but to their credit and a little astute tactical re-arranging, they picked themselves up and fought back. Bryn Wheeler was unlucky to see his shot come back off the cross bar before Neil Slateford bagged a couple of goals and the longer the game went on the more the confidence grew in the Falmouth players. I, for one, was proud to be associated with Falmouth Town, as I am sure were the other fans that made the trip over the Tamar. Keep up the good work lads and lets get a morale boosting victory on Boxing Day.

The Villains
It would have been easy for the Town players to have dropped their heads in the second half going in 3 - 0 down and not having a full squad to pick from, but to their credit and a little astute tactical re-arranging, they picked themselves up and fought back. Keep up the good work lads and lets get a morale boosting victory on Boxing Day. Having watched the game on Sat, the game was turned around on about the 70th min......... when yet again the Ivybridge manager did his best to throw 3 pts away when he decided to make the worlds worst sub and to rearange the teams shape. Firstly, all 3 goals came from some very good crosses and some excellent headers from Fice & Truelove. Fice should have made the game safe from 8 yds with an easy header in the 2nd half, but, decided to volley the ball over the bar which would have been of better use on the rugby field. Secondly, the strangest of subs and the rearranging of the team...... the good ideas club decided to: 1. Sub the full back and bring on aother striker..... 2. The winger who supplied the crosses, went into wingback...... 3. Truelove went back into midfield........ Prior to the changes, the game was as safe as houses, only then, did Falmouth look like scoring, which to their credit, they did twice. Everyone on the touchline was amazed at what had happening, even the players were baffled........ The officials had a decent game.
