Mr.T Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Should a player only be allowed to sign for one club at a time? This week~end a forward from Penzance SWPL team played for St.Day v Ludgvan. Where`s players loyalties?
St Darren Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Deano, have a look at the goalscorers from the game and work it out!!! There's no rules broken so its not a problem, the lad played for St Day for years, so if you ask me, he's showing loyalty by signing for them. Until the CCFA change the rules then its always going to happen.
Guest Helston Patriot Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Stu played against us. top bloke. Played at St day well before PZ. So he his showing loyalty
The Villains Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 No rules or regs broken. I think most players play for more than one team, IF, they were only allowed to sign for 1 club, what about if the player plays on Wednesday / Sunday for another team?
Guest Peppermint Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I wonder if Mr Mewton gave him permission!!!!!!! Or indded knew about it - cannot see him being that pleased especially if he picked up an injury.
Soccer Follower Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Trevor wouled have only have needed to pick up the local Sunday paper,Graham. It's not as if you can hide a striker as opposed to a defender.
Guest Peppermint Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 He is too mean to buy a newpaper Nigel!!!!! I would have liked to have seen Trevor's face if he did read it in the paper and did not know about it beforehand.
Guest Tax-Dodging Saint Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Before the start of the season, when my chances of playing 1st team for a 2nd season at pz looked bleak with the new crop of players coming in i signed for my old club, St Day. This was due to the fact that i had enjoyed many seasons there previous to this one and if come the start of the season i was not selected as part of trevor's squad i could go somewhere where i'd continue to enjoy my football, thats not saying i wouldn't have enjoyed it in pz 2nds but i hope people wud understand my reasoning for this. At present i'm currently taking my place on the bench for the 1st team and enjoying my role as super sub. Obviously its not my ideal and i'll continue to work hard for a start. To do this i need to be match fit and with me signed on at present for st day if required i could have a run out for them. obviously trevor wouldn't be pleased if i did pick up a knock but touch wood that hasn't happened. Last week pz 1st didn't have a fixture so i went to watch st day but due to them having so many injuries leaving them short i played. and this weekend i didn't get changed until half time coz i didn't intend to play but injuries again during the 1st 5 mins of each half meant that my services were required. i love football just like the other users of this forum and i don't feel as though my loyalty to either club should be questioned
J MILLER Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Well Said Stuart, I nearly had my violin out for a minute.
Guest Tax-Dodging Saint Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 cheers mills! my violin broke
kevin richards Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 If anyone is to blame here, & i dont think there is, it should be Penzance FC. If they dont insist players sign for the club & not for a team, then a player can sign for who he likes. I agree with others, Stu played for St Day against us when we were in Fal/Hel league. He is a top lad & St Day FC is very importent to him. Isnt the first , wont be the last !
hansome dan Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 If he,s a pz player and not playing regularly he should speak to trevor and not on here. I can understand his reasons but pz reserves are in same league, and you will soon have everyone signing for other clubs and total lack of discipline.Kevin,s right and its down to pz to act.
Guest geachy1 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 this season i have signed for wendron combo falmouth albion fhfl mount ambrose mining league grampound duchy league threemilestone sunday league. :o
oldasitgets Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 this season i have signed for wendron combo falmouth albion fhfl mount ambrose mining league grampound duchy league threemilestone sunday league. Won't anyone give you a game?
Guest geachy1 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 of course i can get a game old man when im not banned
Mr.T Posted November 10, 2008 Author Report Posted November 10, 2008 Stu played against us. top bloke. Played at St day well before PZ. So he his showing loyalty Loyalty? Who`s paying his expenses most Saturdays?St.Day?

Guest Good for 30 goals a season! Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 geachy1 have you played for all these clubs?
The Villains Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Most managers know that some, if not all players, play for other teams and not just his team, if the manager has anything about him he will have ensured that the players loyalties lie with his team, IF, they were to be drawn against his other team/s.
St Darren Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Goes without saying! Stu's first club is Penzance, if they havent' got a game he makes himself available for St Day. Simple isn't it? doing nothing wrong. Seems to me that as with a lot of clubs, there's a nuimber of clubs within a club and teams are separate
Guest Tax-Dodging Saint Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 It goes without saying that my priorities lie with PZ and if they were to be drawn against st day i would play for PZ and do everything i can to get us into the next round. Penzance is a club and not seperate teams but as it is at the moment i'm only signed on to play 1st. St Day have had games in the past when i haven't and i didn't play then, it has only occured recently due to injuries.
Guest geachy1 Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 geachy1 have you played for all these clubs? no havent played for all of them not played for wendron combo cos im not gud enough for senoir footy. started with albion but fell out with the them cos i got sent off. now im playing for mount ambrose as they needed a keeper. and i play sunday for tms
carlsberg Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 did any of them clubs see you play before you signed geechy im going to guess at no you aint good enough to play sunday league let alone any other league :ninja:
