AFC St.Austell  6 - 0 Callington Town.

Liam Eddy 3, Harvey Ham 2, Tom Guest.

Playing surface played remarkably well considering the amount of rain we had this week.

Callington had little to offer except honest endeavour.

St.Austell took their chances, good to see Liam Eddy getting a much deserved hat trick.

Be interesting to see the crowds for both games at St Austell and at Sticker tonight.

With St Blazey Reserves playing at home tonight with a crowd of 85, it meant three matches within minutes of each other.

With the good prospect of three of the top SWPL sides all playing tonight, if one game had been played last night, the crowds could have been even better. Financially, it can't be doing local clubs any good having nothing on one night and everything the next.

 Ivybridge Town v Crediton, postponed.

(waterlogged pitch)

IVYBRIDGE Town suffered once more with the weather on Saturday (Dec 9) when their top of the table clash at home to Crediton in the South West Peninsula League was washed out.

The decision was made on Friday following persistent rain on Thursday with more heavy rain forecast for the early hours of Saturday. The fixture has been rearranged for Saturday April 20.

This latest postponement means that Ivybridge have played only three games since October 14 and they were hoping to fix up a friendly at an all-weather pitch at Callington on Saturday.

The next competitive fixture for Ivybridge will be their second round tie in the Walter C Parson League Cup at home to Axminster on Saturday, December 16, with the winners going through to the quarter finals.

Already through to the last eight are Bridport and Okehampton from the East Division along with Camelford, Mullion and Newquay from the West Division. Two other second round ties still to be completed are Elburton Villa v Teignmouth (Tuesday December 12) and Liskeard v St Austell (Wednesday December 13).
