If The Ashes aren't very careful here, they could accidentally get promoted. Won their last 4, now 10 pts clear of 3rd placed Bridgwater (although they've played 3 more games).

3 defeats on the bounce now for Falmouth, and no goals scored in those matches. Need to get back to winning (and scoring) ways at Bickland on Saturday against a Millbrook side that hasn't won away in the league since October.

That would be hugely amusing!! However, I think Mousehole stronger and easier on the eye and Bridgy with everyone available are also stronger too. That said, a big 3 points from Bickland  Park last night. The Ashes do have an ability to grind out results though. Great end of season title race to come.

Do they genuinely not want promotion? Only if they don't then it didn't make much sense bringing in Callum Watson who has been one of the Western Leagues best midfielders over the last few season and is only going to make an already strong team stronger.

Callum Watson was excellent last night.  He hardly gave the ball away all night and alongside Henry Wilson, Saltash probably have one of the best pairings in the league. Watson reminded me of Steve Burt at Mousehole. Another great player.

Falmouth struggled again with an even more depleted squad. The youngsters did well to keep it at 2-0 albeit there were a couple of half-chances early on. Some great performances from Jack Webber and Tom Annear who really tried to step up and lead the team on.

Interestingly, Charlie Hambly and Jaffa Rowe started for Town last night. Both worked hard but never convinced that bringing unfamiliar players into a team really works, however good players they are.

Let's hope all the regulars are available for the big local clash on Tuesday against Helston in the Les Phillips Cup.  Town need a win to keep their season going.
