It is lovely to see Perranwell starting the season so well after many years of floundering and moving pitch….maybe this is the year that they emulate what we did in 96/97 and again 97/98. Looking forward to popping up to watch them in the next week or so 👍⚽️💪

Helston v St Day was a cracker at Kellaway Park both sides fully committed but a pleasure to Ref. Pitch was in excellent condition (and slightly narrower then last time I was there = less running ‘bonus’’ 😁) and both sides had early chances only for the scoreline still to be even and goalless at HT. St Day took the lead in the 68th min only for Helston to reply 7 min later. Looked like the match was heading for a draw when substitute Gareth Ireson bundled over the winner in the 90th min for the away side to take all 3 points
