Winchester v Parkway

Recommended Posts

Did anyone travel to Winchester, sounds like hell of a game, especially for Billy Palfrey.  He hit the post, scored a decent free kick, missed a penalty just before half time and was brave enough to take the equalising penalty on 95 minutes👏. And in between all this both sides had a red card! Never a dull Parkway game recently

Heard it was a dramatic game last night. Whether it's a point gained, or two dropped, we'll only know at the end of the season.

Speaking to people who've watched Parkway over the last few seasons, the only thing stopping Billy Palfrey from being a big time player is Billy Palfrey. He has it all in terms of technique and ability, some feel that he just  needs to add a little  bite or nastiness to his game and impose himself more (a pinch of Shane Krac even).

Didn’t Shane Krac say he was one of best players he seen. I’ve seen his a few times and he is an excellent player definitely could play higher up the league.
mid parkway don’t get to go up. I hope Taunton or Truro don’t come knocking for him.

An interesting game! 😀 Probably a point gained bearing in mind the paucity of the squad and coming so soon aftrer the Spennymoor trek WOTP. BP didn't score from a free kick but his excellent delivery from one set the 2nd goal (og) up. Took some bottle to take his 2nd pen after a lengthy delay amid some confusion with a Pway player being treated and the opposition players surrounding/hassling the referee. Delaying tactics. For what it's worth, whilst everyone performed vailiantly at Spennymoor, if I had to pick a motm, BP would be my choice. Top, top guy.

Billy has always been a top player since he was a kid and if he lived further “up country”, would undoubtedly be plying his trade a lot closer to the Football League. Incredible workrate, vision and can play any midfield role in the modern game. He will only get better with age too. Great lad as well, from a good family.
Truro had their chance with Billy but, at the time, saw him as a right back. Truro’s loss was certainly Parkway’s gain.
