Hayle 3-2 Falmouth  good first half Hayle took the lead with a header from Kian but Falmouth responded quickly with a  header back to the Hayle keeper was anticipated by the striker and put away , Hayle regained the lead after a scramble the ball was spotted away , several good saves kept the score down  , and both sides played some good football Hayle scored a third  but Falmouth pulled one back to make Hayle have a few jitters but they hung on for the points well reffed to day , two yellows issued  which were both deserved , both teams played the game overall in a good spirit approx 25 watching .

Well, back by popular demand here is a quick Holman's match report :P

After what felt like a smash and grab from Culdrose a few weeks ago with a couple of late goals to beat us 3-2 we were very much up for this one. The first half was quite a poor display of Football in all honesty. We were struggling to build from the back, Culdrose did have a few good counter attacks and initially were out running us all over the pitch. We did take the lead through young Reece Monteith on around 15 mins. Gary Bell winning the ball back in the opposition box and squaring for Monteith to blast home from close range. Both of whom are very consistent performers for us. Culdrose did snatch one back fairly soon after on maybe the 20-25min, a quick counter attack neatly finished. They had a few lively players, the Striker number 6 was causing some problems but neither side really playing great Football in the first half.

1-1 HT

After a bit of a blasting at half time we were a completely different side in the second. Immediately after the break we took the lead, a Culdrose defender misread a bouncing ball for Adam Selley to lob the onrushing goalkeeper to make it 2-1. Not long after Jack Mankee was able to tap in from inside the 6 yard box after Selley pulled it back to him from the right wing. Credit must go to the Culdrose Linesman also, as the ball spun into the goal and over the line then back out again. The Linesman giving the goal when the referee was unsure, so fair play.

With full momentum on our side at this point Anthony Reynolds made some changes. Bringing off Mankee who was struggling with a hamstring complaint which allowed Dan Park to enter. And it was Park who after some neat dribbling inside the box won a penalty, which was calmly converted by Gary Bell. Holmans stalwart Bobby Hopkins added the 5th goal with a superb side foot volley from a Gareth Honer corner. Finally Tom Hogarth completed the scoring with a bullet header.

6-1 FT
