RAPPO
PACKHORSE (0) 0- 3 (1) DOWNDERRYDownderry adapted much better to the boggy pitch and swirling wind. Fair and deserved result on the day.

Cameron Hague
Packhorse 0 Downderry 3Another good honest battle in the mud. Just like the good ole days and a good advert to bringing back winter football.Pitches are for football, not for winning the Chelsea flower show. With the game being called off and then back on during Saturday evening, it was a credit to both teams, referee and ground staff at Par that this game went ahead.Downderry were a little better in all areas during the game. They seemed more composed on the ball, won more headers and generally had better structure to their gameplay. Games are usually won on those percentages and it would be cruel to suggest that Downderry weren't worth the three goal win. However, Packhorse were certainly too sloppy for the second goal (edge of the area shot that perhaps should have been tipped over) and the third goal (back pass mis-control for the 'keeper on the horrific surface). But credit must be given for the first goal which was a perfectly delivered corner for an advancing orange shirt to thump the ball home. I can't recall who thumped the ball home (apologies whoever it was) but it was a great goal, whichever side you were cheering for!A good game by two sides that are still enjoying their Sundays out, regardless of the weather. Long may it continue. Att:
