RAPPO
HELSTON (2) 5 Buchan 55' 63' Counter OG 9' Bradley 23' Huckfield 59'CULDROSE (1) 4 Jones 15' Rapsey 47' Atkinson OG 77' Harris 79'ATT: 175 @ Porthleven FC.Exciting game to watch, with Helston deservedly getting revenge for their defeat to Culdrose on pens two weeks earlier in the Kernow youth league final at Hayle. Gala Parc was a credit to the club, a pristine surface for the lads to play on. Two very strong wind assisted own goals by both keepers, who otherwise made some great saves, carrying whipped in corners into their own net at the clubhouse end. Culdrose playing the better passing football and looking favourites at 2-2 but Helston came back strongly looking the more likely to score with every attack with their more direct style and did so with 3 goals in an 8 minute spell as Culdrose capitulated at the back. To their credit they piled it on last 10 minutes and almost forced an unlikely extra time period but Helston just about hung on. The officials all had good games, getting most decisions spot on. A good 80 minutes entertainment with most of the boys playing their last games of youth football. The majority of both sides playing adult football already for some good clubs. A nice way to go out with a 9 goal thriller. Well done to both teams, played in great spirit. eams. Edited May 10, 2015 by RAPPO
