CHESHAM UNITED v TRURO CITY

Recommended Posts

Chesham United 1 Truro City 0

Archer 57 mins.

Attendance 393

Chesham United completed the double over a Truro City side reduced to ten men just before half time, the unfortunate thing is that this game had two teams that come the end of the season could be competing in the Play offs for one promotion place, therefore they should have been afforded a referee capable of officiating correctly in one of the Zamaretto (Southern League) Premier league top matches, sadly that was not the case, this referee was so bad even the Chesham supporters were laughing, not believing their luck, a two handed catch by one of their defenders went unpunished, the referee didn't see it, the younger of the two assistant referees also missed it, it had me singing "Can we have, Can we have, a Woooman Referee" and "You should have sent your Mrs".

A good game spoilt, a draw would have been a fair result, Chesham are a good side, as for the sending off, that was a joke, a player in the act of kicking for goal sent off because the ball cleared the goal and landed in the car park, which happens to most balls kicked in that direction because the referee blew for offside as he attempted to lob the keeper.

Disappointed, I am pleased I went to the game because Truro City played well.

So, are you suggesting, Mountaineer, the two clubs involved should be able to to choose their preferred referee? The mind boggles. I've heard it all now! When do you return to the real world?

Hello Anita, I knew my remarks would tickle your fancy :yahoo:

As for the Bodmin Saint, he lives in a different world from the rest of us,

but to answer him - NO,

The refereeing assessors need to be a bit more on the ball, teams competing

at the top of Level 3 deserve better.

I paid to get and watch a game of football not to have it spoilt by an

incompetent referee.

PLEASE READ THE REPORT - I am not the only one to know he is poor.

On Wednesday February 2nd.A High Court Hearing at which the HMRC will seek to have a winding up petition enforced against Windsor & Eton F.C.

The club Chairman has stated they will not oppose and the club will cease to exist after this date

As Truro have won 3-0 at Windsor and Salisbury have not played them (Windsor results are expected to be expunged from record)-the top of the table will mean Salisbury are two points adrift with three games in hand.

But before Wednesday both clubs have Tuesday night fixtures.
