Richard Chown
According to Thisiscornwall.co.uk © Link Latvian international Andrejs Stolcers could be on his way to Truro City as new manager Steve Thompson seeks to bolster his under achieving squad. The 35-year-old forward/midfielder is currently with Bath City and is reported to be considering an approach from the Zamarreto Southern League premier division outfit. Stolcers signed non-contract forms with Bath City last month, but could cut short his stay at Twerton Park to link up with Thompson, who he knows from his time with Yeovil. Bath boss Adie Britton told the Bath Chronicle: "It's out of my control. "He is looking to bring his family over from Latvia and they would not be able to survive on the money we're paying. "There's no way we would want to lose Andrejs. We'd like him to stay for the rest of the season and beyond – he wasn't just for Christmas. "He's got such good ability, which we've only seen a glimpse of so far, and experience of English football." Stolcers has played 76 times for Latvia scoring seven international goals and his previous clubs include Olimpija Rīga, Skonto FC, Shakhtar Donetsk, Spartak Moscow, Fulham, Yeovil Town and FK Baku. Dave Deacon
they would not be able to survive on the money we're paying. So just how much more can a Southern League Premier club offer to pay a player rather than a side from a division higher in the Blue Square South?

Guest watcher
Our Kev's interest in the Eastern European transfer market is well known, so no surprises here. Mind you at 35, before this guy brings his family over from Latvia he needs to make sure they've got enough money to get back home when Kevin trades him in for somebody younger and fitter.
