I and the groundstaff checked the pitch at 10 am and the pitch was playable. Then we had a downpour at 11:15. I got a phone call when printing the programme at 12:10, saying we need to get the local ref in as the pitch was underwater, then I informed all the parties that needed informing to call the game off. quiksilver Posted January 31, 2015 Report Share Posted January 31, 2015 Clubs get slated on here by certain people for cancelling games too readily, now a club gets slated for doing everything to get a game on. Parkway to torpoint is probably 5 miles, so cancelling at lunchtime for a 3pm kick off due to a sudden downpour is just bad luck. It is how you respond that others will judge you by. 10 games to go and all top teams to play each other yet, more twists in this league yet me thinks. Even in defeat another goal by Bowyer.
