Mike Odgers
Kings Lynn F.C.(Norfolk) have failed ground grading and are to be relegated from the Conference North. If they drop back to the Southern League where they were members for the previous 22 seasons it will mean a 730 mile round trip of 7 hours each way for Truro. Hope there is not a midweek fixture in January LoL
Guest Man on the Post
If Redruth Rugby Club can cope with travelling to Blaydon, Cambridge, Manchester, Southend, Tynedale and Wharfedale then Truro can cope with Kings Lynn! :D
Mike Odgers
The Southern League Premier will see the relegation of Yate Town and Mangotsfield United (which would have been two of Truro's geographical closest clubs). Some positive news is that Clevedon Town should avoid the drop if they get at least a point from the last game which is home. The three clubs in the relegation zone of the Conference South(which drop into the Southern or Isthmian League) are all East of London. Dorchester Town could be caught with only one game left and this would be boost to Truro's travels. On the Tony Kempster site there is an updated projection of what clubs would be in the League with Truro next season but it will be the manipulation of the F.A and the step 3 Leagues which have the final say. Gazza
Interesting news about Kings Lynn Mike. Went to Kings Lynn three times in 2008 with Plymouth Speedway - a good 800 mile round trip from Cornwall - hard going to do in one day if only one person is driving, though it's just about possible. Will prove to be a logistical hurdle for TCFC even on a Saturday.
Mike Odgers
Hi Gary-still enjoying your speedway I see On the Kings Lynn affair a lot of football people are surprised as the club is one of the better setups looking in from the outside. I would expect the F.A to force them into the Northern Premier or in the 'closed shop' (Ryman)Isthmian League whose member clubs are not in favour of too many clubs from outside their geographical area. MOUNTAINEER
With so much internal upheaval at clubs suffering from the withdrawal of sponsors, revised ground regulations etc, I think there will be many twists before the final league set ups are released, until then there will be much speculation, some leagues may even operate with reduced numbers, there is a strong rumour that because of team withdrawals at most levels some may not be relegated, there has been strong suggestions that only one team will be relegated from Southern League Division One and the posible survival of a Southern League Premier club, maybe saving one of those talked about 'local' derby's, it shows how far Truro City have come when you talk of a clash with a Bristol area club as a local derby. And in previous seasons Redruth also had to go to North Walsham on the Norfolk coast, a 850 mile round trip.

Mike Odgers
Kings Lynn FC were officially demoted today from the Conference North after their appeal was turned down by the F.A. (due to ground grading) Tomorrow the F.A. will declare the league lineups. Will the 'Linnets' be in the Northern Premier or the Southern Premier? Tony Kempster predicts Nothern-that would bring a sigh of relief for City
Mike Odgers
Winchester City failed with their appeal at Soho Square regarding their 3 points deduction. Best think twice when appealing with th F.A as a £1300 fine was also imposed but later withdrawn. This means they will be relegated and Taunton Town will be reprieved to play next season in the Southern SW1
