Heamoor 5 - 3 Wendron reserves

Really difficult conditions to play in but the lads got on with it, credit to Wendron as they gave us a good game even though they went down to 10 men 25 mins into the game. Bit of a long ball game lol :)

3-3 H/T

5-3 F/T

Man of the match: Tom battan with 3 great goals

Robartes 3-1 St.Just (HT 3-0)

A bad start for St.Just when their 16 year old goalkeeper was injured in the warm up and their right back Dave George had to go christmas shopping, so playing with a bare 11 and 16 year old outfield player Jack Willis deputising in goal - it was going to be a long day!

Robartes went 1-0 up after 1 minute after a well taken freekick. They shortly made it 2-0 when Kevin Glenville - fresh back from christmas shopping, decided to hand out presents to the Robartes side, which their centre forward glady accepted and made it 2-0. Just before the half they went 3-0 after a well taken freekick which deflected in. As the half was coming to a close, Scott Megor put a header over the crossbar from 6 yards, when it would have been easier to put it in the net.

In the second half, St.Just made the Robartes side work much harder and scored a goal early which was well taken by Steffan Smith. There were chances at both ends for both teams, but Robartes deserved the win overall, with their centre midfielder Chris (dont know his last name - tall, blonde) being their best player.

Mousehole 4 - Chacewater 2

Chacewater never turned up today, credit to mousehole, played some good football and deserved the win, i got sent of for chace, stupidly argued with the ref, deserved what i got, no complaints there, good luck to mousehole for the rest of the season, look forward to when we meet again.

That will be Jowan with 4 and none for Jay Liddicoat.

Great day for Gulval, always a pleasure when we beat Trispen cos it matters to us old uns as some a lot of the Trispen boys will know.

Mom the match Dennis aka Fingers7 in Trispens goal. Superb display, hats off to the man. That tells you something about how many chances we missed.

FIRST OFF HATS OFF TO TITANS,WHO PERFORMED REALLY WELL,AND FULLY DESERVED THEIR DRAW AGAINST US..ON TWO SEPERATE OCCASIONS WE LED THANKS TO AN OPPORTUNISTIC GOAL BY PAUL JACKSON,AND A WONDERFUL GOAL FROM PAUL ANGOVE AFTER A FINE SET UP FROM NEW BOY MIKE VIGUS. BOTH KEEPERS PLAYED VERY WELL,AND THOUGH WE CRASHED AGAINST THE TITANS BAR TWICE,IT ENDED ALL SQUARE AT 2-2.. ALSO MANY THANKS FOR THE HOSPITALITY WE RECIEVED AFTER THE GAME.

Tommy Owen not play theforceuk? What was different from last weeks 5-0 ?

Good result for you guys, I heard that Jodie Hampton was joining the Gwinear Massive so it could be difficult for them now.

No first team game for you scaleybacks today, how many did you have in? Harris is still away getting wiped out in Oz isn't he?

Mining League Div 2

Halsetown Res 1 (0) v (1) 4 Threemilestone Res

Threemilestone scorers: Matt Luff (2), Josh Turner, Liam Patterson.

A very competitve game which was hard fought. The score line flattered us a bit with us scoring our first goal against the run of play. The homeside should have scored at least twice before we took the lead. The second half saw Halsetown throw everything at us and to be honest they managed to waste several good chances, however, the lads dug deep and defended really well, the difference between the sides was the finishing and on the day we took our chances. Halsetown had a player sent off just before the end of the game.

Thank you to the homeside for the excellant food and hospitality good luck for the rest of the season.

Well done to all the lads who played today could not have asked for anything more, worked hard and reaped the benefit. Man of the Match for the Stones: Graeme Weir. :clapper:

Mining Div 1

St Buryan 1 (Gareth May) Troon 3 (Shane Richards 2 Daniel Bell) HT 0-2

Troon thoroughly deserved their three points today very impressive performance two big turning points in game, thought we had a very good shout for penalty at 1-0 but the decision was way above the referee who had a shocker throughout!!!! then second turning point was troons second goal an absolute gift 2 mins before half-time, but saying that Troon were just too good for us in particular the two boys up front, right wing and left back.

They are obvious favourites for our junior cup tie, but with a couple of players to return and with it being the junior cup u can never tell.

Best of luck to Troon and im sure that if it wasnt for their poor admin work theyd be well on course for title honours and thats no disrespect to Illogan, Storm or Robartes

Storm 2 - 0 Four Lanes

A very even game where the only real difference was the fact that Storm took both of their clear cut opportunities. From a Four lanes perspective, we were looking for a response following last weeks heavy defeat at Illogan, and we got it. We played some lovely football in patches byut just failed to create enough real goalscoring opportunities. The first Storm goal coming with about 20 mins to go from a right foot curler into the corner and a last minute tap in following a defensive mix up at a corner.

We were very pleased with the Four Lanes performance on a difficult pitch. No game fixtured for next week. Away to Gwinear on 20th.

Good luck to Storm for the rest of the season.

only five first teamers for st ives today. bit different from the side we played last week without tommy. says it all really

If they played 5 first teamers then you have a good case to question their eligability to play, I'm sure the Mining league rules state that you can only play 2 reinstated players in any one game <_<

what happen to the wendron player sent off ?? If so what for ?

He handled outside the box in a one on one situation, felt sorry for the lad

Don't feel too sorry as he did this last week too. Wasn't given though even though he was 5 yards out. Oh well.

Division 3

Cornish New Boys 3 St Ives Mariners 2

The winner coming from Ryan 'Donk' Hooper about ten minutes from time apparently,

Well Done guys :clapper:

Was a great game end to end. Mariners had great spells as did cornish. Mariners took the lead, then cornish went 2-1 up. Mariners got PEN just before half time and we went in 2-2.

Really hard fought second half by both teams and looked to be going to a draw. But as you said 10 mins from the end Ryan Hooper stopped his 4 games without a goal with a great shot finish from great passing moves from the cornish boys.

Would also like to point out Shaun Rundles first open play goal in 43 starts well done Shaun.

Thank you St. Ives for a great game i really enjoyed it, was the hardest game we have had this season and would have been happy if the tie finished as a draw as you guys played really well. Thank you.

Just have to say St Ives only played 1 regular "1rst" team player yesterday, don't no where anyone got 5 from? Anyone who has played 5 or more games for the first team has to be re-regestired.

to answer all questions yes no.17 was our only first team player and that was my great friend Duane Britton, who scored all 3, two penalties and one half volly from outside the box, great display as seen as he was coming through getting over groin strain, all players dug in and put in 100% which is totally different to previous weeks, i can say that all 11 players had man of match performances!!!!!

like i have said since i took over 5 weeks ago all i needed was a bit of luck and someone who can find back of net, bring on pendeen in the cup on saturday, all the guys have confidence now and are ready to turn this season round!!!!!!!
