Richard Chown Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 Yes. THE CORNISH DERBY. Carharrack v St Day. We hate them and they hate us simple as.
Bigdawg Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 haha that is weird. i now play in edgcumbe v torpoint, but used to live in carharrack and go st say school, think in the same year as u richard chown.
Woodmanaldo Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Having played in a number as well as witnessed a few Grampound v Probus in the Duchy League is always a fiercely contested derby. There have also been some reasonable sized crowds in the last few seasons when played as a midweek game near the end of the season.
tms no9 Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 threemilestone vs chacewater always a crowd of 100+ and that was in mining 3!!!! plus in the the last few league meetings there has been a few reds and yellows :o

JTW Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Perranporth Vrs St Agnes was always a big game when I was playing combo level at Perran. Perranporth Vrs St Agnes was always a big game when I was playing combo level at Perran. Is this a local derby? Thinking about I guess Perrans local derby is Goonhavern?? :P
Guest cnb shower boy Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Cornish New Boys V West Cornwall
Guest Clancy Von-Heffenburger Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Goongumpas v Broadwoodwidger is known as a hostile game as is st minver v ventongimps!!!!
TFC no 9 Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Played for porthlevern 2nds against helston 1st that was always hard game! no love lost at all!!!
St Darren Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Aggie v Perranporth always was a good tear up!! not so much now the locals aren't playing for Perran in the first team. They've won a few, we've won a few, at junior level and senior level. A couple of wins for Aggie include, 2-1 in the Junior Cup, what a day that was! (good ole thommo!) and a 5-1 win a couple of years back. The main win for Perran would have been when they were 3-0 down 2 years ago, and came back to win 4-3!
Guest lynchmob Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Gulval v Heamoor should be good fun this weekend and i guess this is our first Derby so it will be hard work for us Heamoor lads. Gulval are in good form and Heamoor are starting to improve........ i hope!!! Goodluck to both sides :smiley20:
swordfish Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Newlyn VS Crown Inn is our derby. No love lost their either, despite everyone knowing every player on either side.
Jamie C Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 havin played in carharrack vs st day games and up in duchy league games for other teams etc in my eyes there is no other derby game that comes nr the tension the boosting rights for the year and the hard hitting tackles of carharrack vs st day.. the pride after the game the final whistle knowin ur team has won gives u the fattest smile on ur face.. so i wud say Carharrack vs st.day and i xpect mr trust wud agree!!
Guest Clancy Von-Heffenburger Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 bissoe v rejerrah!! big riots underneath the viaduct regularly occur!!!
Phil Mitchell Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 st mawes v tregony always requires a police presence.
Guest Fish Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 Perranporth vs Goonhavern - We played Goonhavern at Perranporth in the Junior Cup in 1994 and lost 2-0 and Neil Whitlock did his knee never really played again after that. But i will always remember we played Goonhavern at home again a year later in the Junior Cup and it was my 19th Birthday and we won 4-0!!! and i scored 1. That is was almost 13 years to the day as its my Birthday tomorrow and i will be 32!!. How time as Flown and look at what has happened to Perranporth and Goonhavern - who would have thought it!!
