JTW
Believe Perranpoth's Div 2 game was also called off because of no ref :(
Guest Samuel
This is true. Rosudgeon V Perranporth called off due to no ref. He was called away to do the St Ives combo game on thursday and we only found out today, 10 mins before kick off!!!! Really poor communication!!!! As Perranporth isn't exactly just around the corner we decided to play a friendly with a Perran player reffing the first half and a Rosudgeon player the second....they probably did better than most of the refs we had last season anyway. Rosudgeon won the game 6-2. Shame it won't count. Hopefully we'll have a ref next week and a proper game!

treasure parks no 1
thanks mariner good confidence builder for us especially as we play holmans wed and they seem to have a good team this year. We played some really good football and now have a defence to be confident in and a midfield who are now creating chances for the front wo as well as goals coming from midfield, good balance to this side now!! Richard Chown
06/09/08 FHFL 2 Carharrack 2 Wendron 1 Carharrack conceaded a goal in the first half but came back to win 2-1 in a hard fought match against a youthful Wendron side. On a soggy afternoon, the visitors Wendron started by playing some disciplined touch football with both sides having their fair ammount of chances but failing to hit the target. However, it was Wendron that ended the deadlock on the 30th by taking advantage of the confusion inside the Carharrack box slotting in the lead. HT 0-1 The second half saw a stronger more determined Carharrack who refused to surrender, challenging every ball and header, whilst keeper Mark Leah controlled his area to keep the Dron at bay as they seeked to extend their lead. The best form of defence is attack and Carharrack did just that when on the 53rd Richard Chown played the ball onto striker Liam Bray who had his shot pushed away by the keeper on for Chown to side foot the deflection to his left to winger Jamie Mitchell who smashed it home from 8 yards out. (Thought I would give myself a pay on the back) Determined to get maximum points, Carharrack kept up the tempo applying the pressure and hoping Wendron would make a mistake. They made the mistake with 5 minutes to go when they allowed Mitchell to look up and take a shot 20 yards from the line thundering into the top right corner. With the home side now 2-1 up Wendron's heads instantly dropped. Battling to the very end the referee blew for full time. Job Done
