Philheybrookbay
Just a bit of fun- what was your best and Worst game of the season and the reasons why? Best game Saltash United 6 Mousehole 3 CSC 2nd round. A blistering first half saw the Ashes tear into Mousehole and the tie was thought to be won by half time. Ah no, back came Mousehole and it was only when we scored the 6th at the very end could the fans relax. Worst Okehampton v Holsworthy 1-2 Good Friday. Okehampton could still be playing now looking for that 2nd goal. It was a very huff and puff game. Think the only people who benefited were the Devon FA from the number of cards! GaryHocking
Best - in terms of thrilling football Mousehole away at Bridgwater. 2-0 down after 88 minutes, fought back to 2-2 in the 93rd and then three more chances to score before the ref finally blew his whistle. But obviously the game that will live longest in the memory is the final game of the season, winning the league in front of a crowd of 650 3-0 vs Wellington. Worst - Helston away on Good Friday. Played off the pitch by a fired-up Helston team and, for 72 hours, it felt like the dream had died. The Torpoint Massive
Best game of the season for me was being 3-0 down in the first 20 minutes at Shepton Mallet and then coming back to Drew 4-4 and we hit the post deep in injury time to possibly nick a winner. Worst game of the season was a 0-0 draw on Boxing Day at Millbrook. The pitch was very heavy!

Completely tallies with my choices 100%, though the trips to Torpoint on grassless desert like pitches, to witness some of the worst referee mobbing comes a very close second, shameful. Both Sides of the Tamar Posted Wednesday at 21:08 Report Share Posted Wednesday at 21:08 WCP game - Liskeard 6 Wendron 3 (3-3 at FT) This game gave each team a chance to show their brilliance. The Blues raced into a 3-0 lead and were irresistible! Flowing football and numerous chances created. Just before HT the ‘Dron pulled a goal back. Second half the men from the West dominated. Stylish football and deservedly level and forcing extra time. A ridiculous Charlie Young sending off swung the tie back in the hosts’ favour. Liskeard were rampant now and some fine finishes won them an exhilarating contest. Two super teams last season. Nice to have a brief chat with Rappo at the end of the game. I know he loved this cup tie hugely too.
Followallfootball Posted Thursday at 13:18 Report Share Posted Thursday at 13:18 Helston 4 Bishop cleave 3 Fa cup tie replay at helston , bishop cleave 2-0 with about 20 mins to go and helston came storming back with 4 goals before bishop cleave scored right at the death . Great game and brilliant atmosphere . worst game , don’t really like to say worst game as it was also the funniest game I watched this season was looe reserves v st mawes . Technically awful but proper grass roots stuff , looe had 12 men one running the line , the funny bit was one would get injured so take over running the line , then another got injured so swapped with Lino , this happened 3-4 times . Their team was like the walking wounded but they were delighted with their 1-0 win .
