Uni Posted April 9, 2023 Report Share Posted April 9, 2023 As a spectator it seemed to be a game of two halves with the wind. Helston edged the first half but didn’t take a couple of chances. They were unlucky not to get a penalty for a blatant hand ball by a pendeen player in the box, but at least the ref was consistent with not wanting to give hand balls all game. second half pendeen scored a tap in from about a yard after some good work by the winger in the right hand side 30 seconds from kick off. Their second looked like a handball again but the ref wasn’t interested and then calmly slotted home for 2-0. From here helston kept pushing but no end product. About 10 to go and pendeen bring on an old guard to get his moment, within 30 seconds of coming in, his first touch made it 3-0 to put the game out of sight! Pendeen defended and worked hard to see it out for the win. m.o.m for me was the pendeen left back 17. Didn’t put a foot wrong and dealt with everything.
