cornishteddyboy
The game beat the weather, but a howler persisted all game.Perranporth Vets 1-2 Penzance VetsPenzance played with only 10 players and on the hour mark were reduced to 9 due to injury. A 35 yd top corner screamer from Andy Trathen in the 48th minute was followed by a low 15yd equaliser on 52 mins before a Darren Steadman lob from 45 yds was flattened by the wind that whistled past and over the keeper to finish the scoring. Steve Winters had to clear off the line in the first half and keeper Peter Bainbridge had to a leap and push-away to prevent a second equaliser.A few missed chances mostly by Perranporth but on the whole neither keeper had much to do. Darren Steadman was brought down just short of the box by the last man. Ref gave a free kick but didn't book or send player off.
