AFC ST AUSTELL v TAVISTOCK - WEDS 03RD DECEMBER 7.30pm KO - WALTER C PARSON LEAGUE CUP ROUND 3

Recommended Posts

Chappy had a nightmare start gifting Tavistock 2 goals and all credit to them they dominated the early part of game.Nanks with an excellent pin of the centre back and quality turn and finish straight after Tavistock second brought them back in game. The game shifted in SAINTS favour and a deserved equaliser arrived courtesy of Body on back post after an excellent Ludlum cross. After half time and I suspect a bo*******get St Austell dominated and took lead after Brokes finished a goal mouth scramble. They remained dominant and stretched lead when Wattsy knocked a 50 yard free kick on to Leaners head.Ten minutes to go saw Chappy get involved in his hat trick of errors leaving it a closer than required last few minutes. Good battle from St Austell players tonight,no obvious injuries to affect Saturday and the normally excellent Chappy has got his one poor performance a season out the way.Roll on Saturday the spectators tonight can't wait.

Cracking cup tie at Poltair last night. End to end stuff for most of the evening.

Tavi will rightfully feel they deserved the game to go to Extra Time especially after the start they made (admittedly with a lot of help from the Snozzle keeper!)

Thought they competed brilliantly and managed to have good periods of play throughout. They desperately need to be back in the premier competing with these teams on a regular basis and they showed they are more than capable.

St Austell showed why they have won 16 in a row now though, what a side they are.

By the way what a left peg the left back Martin Watts has, sod getting in the way of one of his howitzers.

Well done to both sides on an enjoyable game for the spectators and all the best to St Austell on saturday, really hope they can have a god run in the Vase along with Bodmin.
