cornishteddyboy
I know it's early days but suprised about Marazion cos they were well fancied to do well, locally down West here. Also nice to see a Reserves side from Pz not bottom of their league :D
Guest neild
It's a tough league! Marazion are improving, with a good though small, squad. A long way to go yet.... nd - Mz coach
referee
I REFFED THE WADEBRIDGE V WENDRON GAME (4-1). I RESERVE FROM COMMENTING ON MATCHES THAT I HAVE OFFICIATED BUT IT WAS WORTHY OF MENTION THAT THE SPORTING MANNER THAT THIS GAME WAS PLAYED IN IS SOMETHING THAT THE FELLAS COULD LEARN FROM. WENDRON ONLY HAD 9 PLAYERS BUT DID NOT CANCEL THE GAME; THEY TURNED UP AND PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT AND WERE REWARDED WITH A GOAL IN THE SECOND HALF. WELL DONE TO BOTH TEAMS. hammers
Referee, how good to read your comments on the Wadebridge V Wendron match, Wendron's turning up with only nine men, is what good sportsmanship is all about, they deserve an extra point for turning up, well done Wendron a real credit to Cornish Football. aggiemaid
As you say cornishteddyboy its good to see a Penzance reserve side not at the bottom - but actually they haven't played yet and last week should have played but I understand they couldn't raise a side. I am sure the young reserve mens team will get a result soon - the side we played against were a very young side with lots of promise! It is good to see the interest generally in Ladies football improving within this forum - there are lots of very good teams out there - and lots of ladies wanting to play. They need all the support and encouragement they can get so thank you to those on this forum who are showing interest in them! It is very early in the ladies season with most only having played a couple of league games so watch for teams like Marazion and Wendron improving and picking up as the season progresses - both good clubs with good teams!
