Elburton 1 v 2 morwenstow

Elburton took the lead in controversial style as 1st the player was offside and 2nd the ball went out of play by a yard , Lino flagged ref ignored him but after game ref honestly said he made a mistake . We got the equaliser 20 mins late through a mark Skelton header . Elburton had 3 good chances to score but they were well saved . 2nd half was a bit scrappy with a few chances until a good move by us ended up with Paul dart scoring the winning goal . Elburton pressed but couldn't find the net . A really good 3 points for us well done to all the lads on there performance

Nanpean 1 - 2 st Stephens boro Well done to boro today for a hard fought victory. The lad Sanchez canbello had a good game for them. We went a goal down and fought back well to bring the scores level and should have gone in front when the keeper missed hit a clearance and Scott best found himself with a open goal from 6 yards only to see his effort hit both posts and come out to the keeper on the floor. It was hard on rovers who's pace upfront caused boro no end of problems. Boro went back in front when the ref decided to give boro a free kick from a blatant dive, but fair play it was a great ball into the box to be despatch via a header. Rovers should have drawn level again before halftime, but a good save from the keeper with Hayes through on goal. The 2nd period was end to end with both teams having chances. Only real downside from a very poor referee performance was that we had two players man handled and no punishment given out, how referee's look at games differently and a blatant penalty that even people not at the game could see. Very disappointed not to have got something from a game we deserved. Hopefully we will not have to have this referee again. I hope he reads this and has the decently to ring up and apologise. Nice to see andy wright not using crutches, good luck to boro for the rest of the year.

Steve bates nanpean manager, sorry didn't realise was on the new account. THe players didn't lose the game if the referee played to the laws of the games, not taking anything away from boro, we should have had a penalty chance, if you were there you would have to agree, NOW where's your real name any chance, don't this will be forthcoming though, especially if your a referee.

Launceston 0 Tavistock 0. Evenly contested battle with the away side having the better chances to take away the 3 points! Tavistock started strong but the home side steadily settled ,found their feet and started to get into the game! Tavistock should have taken the lead early on but their big lad upfront failed to punish the home side! Launceston responded well almost converting a well placed header that just passed the post! Possession after this was fairly even! Tavistock made some changes and the lad that came on over on the right created numerous problems for launceston in the closing stages (sure ive seen him with the first team?) A draw appeared to be a fair result!

Think your right to say a draw was a fair result. Also correct in saying I should of scored early on.

The lad who came on the right side isn't a 1st team regular player, he has helped out when they've been struggling with injuries, suspensions etc but is with us nearly every week.

Nice bunch of lads to play against today, Good luck to them for the rest of the season.

Bad day at the office for Bere yesterday. We went a goal down about 10-15 mins into it to a a quick passing move down our left after they had dis-possessed our fullback and slid the ball across the box for a neat finish from 12 yards. We started to get back into the game midway through the first half. A decent free kick from our captain/coach/gaffa/leader/inspiration Will Westlake. About 25 yards out bent it into the bottom corner 10 mins before half time.

Second half was a scrappy affair on a difficult surface. With neither team having too many clear cut chances and neither keeper being worked. Game was settled by a quality strike in the 89th minute, a volley from 25 yards out that looped into the top corner. A draw wouldn't have been unfair but wadebridge (as always) battled well and worked hard. We just lacked ruthlessness in the final third and couldn't create and convert any chances.

Look forward to playing torpoint next week at our place. Bouncebackability springs to mind? Ha

Why is it Nanpeans poor form over the years is always blamed on the poor ref. Come on rhinounited reality check....... instead of ref this ref that, how about the truth?????? My players are simply not up to the task, either too young or too old past it, inexperienced, no heart, im sure there is a lot more i could think of rather than ref ref ref!!!!!! Hursh??? maybe but the truth does hurt!!!!

Great back to back away wins for Morwenstow, after a tough start, losing their long term manager, it seems they are rebuilding nicely. Just on the Bude subject, it is definitely the strongest squad they have had for a long time, i would think they would there or there abouts, they poached one of their best players from Morwenstow, Jamie Etherington, who is a class act. I think this was one of the main reasons Alan Hockin left as he had managed Jamie from a young age and i believe i am right in thinking, when Bude didn't want him! Loyalty does not come into things now, even at a local level.

Agree with you greenblood Jamie a great player but one player don't make the team he is missed though . We have played well in most games only really been torn apart by torpoint who looked class on the day didn't help with 5 players missing and me (keeper) coming off injured after 50 mins . Was a great team performance against Elburton especially as only had 1 sub who had to come on after 10mins . We played bude early in the season and lost 4 3 and for a long while we're only team to score against them in the league . I'm sure if we keep the squad together and keep playing for each other we will do ok . Must admit Alan a big loss for us but we will keep on fighting once the weather sorts it's self out lol
