Hayle 3-2 Newquay.

Poor first half from Newquay as Hayle were by far the better team, a late first half goal from Jake Hartigan gave us a somewhat flattering 2-1 at the break. Second half was a lot more even with both sides adding a goal apiece, overall though Hayle were good value for the win today.

Clyst 1v3 St Blazey.

The green machine rolls on!!

One of those hard matches today when you no you should win, but you play a team who defend in numbers, a tight pitch, spongy dry grass making slick passing hard and generally a long old slog.

The Clyst keeper made a couple good saves in the first half, one really good point blank effort from a Danny Nancarrow header. Finally in the second St Blazey were rewarded a penalty after the ref had given a freekick earlier when the challenge was clearly in the box. Danny Zallick made it 0-1 and St Blazey never looked back.

Only 16 St Blazey fans there today. The lack of a decent bar and the long old poke didnt help im sure. The vocal few were then threatened to be thrown out if we were to put down their facilities once more!!

And as for bad language.....if you see Clyst play, listen out for the two Ronnies running the team. Why anyone wants to play for the clowns ive no idea and how the ref and linesman put up with it is beyond me.

Well, 3 points will do me.

Launceston on wednesday night at home.

Saltash 1 Tavistock 1

Both sides down to 10 men after half an hour. Scramble on Tavi goal line between their keeper 2 defenders and 2 Saltash players. Ref blows for a foul hand bags start. majority of both sides soon involved including Tavis Carter. Why did he run 3/4 the length of the pitch to get involved?

Not much else happened in first half, both teams did miss good scoring chances, ref lost everyones respect, poor decisions made, apart from the sendings off. Missed or chose to ignore shirt pulling, pushing and assistants were poor too.

Anyway saltash opened scoring in 50th mineut soft shot by Lee Doel from edge of box crept into corner of goal.

Tavi equalised from the spot. Their guys on the deck in the box covering the ball, making no attept to play it. Lee Doel gets the ball off him but slips over hitting the ball with his hand as he lands. Completely accidental. Penalty, well taken 1-1.

Ball in Tavi box Saltash player attempt cross hit Tavi defenders arm. No penalty

Action switches to Saltashes box. Same thing happens but this time he awards a penalty. Its well saved by Saltash keeper

Right on full time Header by Manley hits post and rebounds to Tavi player who hoofs it upfield, full time.

1-1 fair result, enjoy watching Tavi. M o M. Hobbs, worried Saltash all afternoon on left wing.
