Paul
Yeap. Correct. The glory supporters are long gone. Theyre up St Austell now until that becomes dull. Theres loads of em who used to watch St Blazey then Truro and now St Austell. Anything to try and see a trophy lifted.
leedsunited
Or the standard of football has dropped there paul? You cant blame a neutral for watching a local game & wanting better value for money? Also st.austell have a fairly local side with most from surrounding areas i believe? V J
Paul I think you have to just admit that there are die hard supporters of specific clubs (like yourself) and die hard supporters of football who 1 like to see good football played 2 like value for their money 3 prefer to watch a side made up of as many locally known players as possible 4 enjoy the pleasant, tidy and well kept surroundings of a football club, including clubhouse and pitch area. Some people are fickle and we all know that, but as you know in your day job, a good product sells better than an average or a poor one Paul. And thats a fact! The Villains
Easy remedy for that..... don't click on the post!!
Tony
All have to be redone now that Elmore have withdrawn - that should keep Mr Cornwall busy!As for comments about attendances, I think that St.Austell's "success" in having decent crowds is both the performances on the pitch and the fact that, as mentioned, the team is pretty well all local. AFC St.Austell is a club as a whole - go to watch a1st team game and you'll see 2nd team players there supporting, helping out behind the bar, selling 50/50 tickets or football cards and so on.
