Penzance 5 v Truro City Reserves 1

Pleasant enough little match, and well refereed by the Penzance players, though the officials did show a little petulance in disagreeing with one or two of the players decisions. In the second half I thought the assistant referee slotted beautifully into the Penzance back five (never missed a shout).

Seriously though, Penzance played some nice football and were good for their win against a pretty young but willing Truro side. Lovely free-kick goal into top right-hand corner from Jonny Ludlam and a rare headed goal from “Westy” to make up for missing a hatful of chances earlier.

Crowd was 166 with quite a few suppoting Truro which was good to see.
