were is lamorna football team from?

Crowntown had them two years ago when we had a good team.

They're actually from Devon! They play a few miles to the East of Plymouth!

we had two attempts to play at their ground, then gave up and switched it to .... Nancegollan.

Somehow, we couldn't score. Had all the game, and lost it in the last few minutes. They weren't anything special.

They got Praze in the next round, at Praze. (They're used to travelling.)

Somehow they held Praze and nicked it in extra time or penalties.

I think they were well beaten in the next round.

Nice bunch of lads, no problems. Sporting and all. They'll struggle against TMS unless they've a few new players.

No, SF, they play in a Plymouth Sunday League. It's which County you affiliate to.

The F.A. rules say that you can affiliate with another County F.A. if you wish. (I think you have to be a club that's been in existence for two years to go to one that isn't where you reside.)

And, the Lamorna Secretary lives in Cornwall (just) and that seems to be much more important than where you play!

Anyhow, Lamorna have affiliated to the Cornwall CFA and so they are obliged to play in our Sunday Cup.

There was a time when some Cornish clubs looked into affiliating with Devon. It was quite possible.
