allforone1889
If my calculations are right and if City beat St.Day tonight then they have won the Championship perhaps C.T.B can confirm.
Guest plainmoor
You know your right, you just wanted to plug the game tonight, why don't you just come out and say that instead of pansy footing about doing a rubbish pr job in the all too familiar truro city fc way. It's not too hard to find teh link. combo tables here
Guest Terrier Tom
Having looked, no they can't mathamatically win the league. Regardless of goal difference, Perranwell and Helston can both finish on 93 points. Thus, to have actually won the title, Truro need to get 4 more points and hop onto 94. You have only won the league when you have achieved an amount of points that no-one else can match, regardless of having scored 400 goals more, or conceeded 200 less. Hope that clears it up. allforone1889
If you want to go on goal difference the first's were in a similar position the other week but the league awarded them the title when we beat Radstock, as for sad man Plainmore get a life. Guest Terrier Tom
Incorrect AllForOne No league will award a team the title until they have achieved an unobtainable amount of points. I don't mean to be rude but you have got your wires crossed somewhere. You couldn't give someone a championship because they are, say, 39 goals ahead. What would happen if that team lost the remainder of the game and due to freak circumstances the 2nd placed team won their final two games 20-0! "OOops, can we have the trophy back please" In the example you give, you are incorrect. By beating Radstock City moved on to 91 points. At that time Dawlish had played 34 games and were on 72 points. Therefore had they won their final 6 games they could of finished on a MAXIMUM of 90. Therefore, to win the title Truro had to get to 91 points which of course they did by beating Radstock. Follow? This is just a pathetic excuse to mention a game of football, be honest from the outset and no one will bat an eye lid, don't do it underhanded with a poor pr excuse, but then again thats truro's way isn't it? cornishteddyboy
Truro need 4 points as of noon today to be sure of the League Championship. If they win tonight and both Helston and Perranwell drop points this Saturday, then by 5pm Saturday Truro will be Champions. If they win tonight and the above do not drop points then Truro will need at least 1 point against Newquay at Treyew Road next Tuesday evening. If they draw or lose tonight other permentations apply.
